Yoongi was already in the living room when Hoseok came in. "What's up?" He called as Hoseok sat down on the sofa. "Nah, just bored," he sighed, sinking down into the couch. Yoongi looked around the house in absolute and utter boredom.
"Oh, um," Hoseok spoke up again, "I... never really got to thank you for what you guys did the other day..." Yoongi looked away to hide his non-existent blush. "I-I did what I could to help a friend, okay?" He stuttered, "Go thank the others, they're the ones who really saved you."
Hoseok laughed, "If I hadn't accidentally taken you along, none of you guys would've known!"
"Well, that just makes you the one who saved yourself."
"You're the one who decided to call the rest, you could've bailed out on me!"
"Why would I bail out on you?" Yoongi huffed, "Unknown to most people, I'm actually a kindhearted, soft, sensitive ball of fluff that actually gives a shit about people's safety." Hoseok nodded in agreement before a blush creeped onto his face.
"Why're you blushing?" Yoongi chuckled, "You embarrassed about something?" Hoseok shook his head and looked down at his toes. "I just..." he hummed, "I'm... ugh, I can't say this, I'm gonna miss you..."
Yoongi wanted to screech in delight in Hoseok's ear at that very moment, but managed to stay calm enough to not make Hoseok freak out. "Same here, honestly," he let himself say, almost wanting to punch himself in the face afterwards (although he knew very well his fist would only go through his head)
"Man, I never really felt like this before," Hoseok chuckled, "I never thought I'd miss someone so much before... Sorry, it sounds cheesy, but I just..."
"What about your family though?" Yoongi asked, "You haven't seen them for months, and you still have many months more before you see them again." Hoseok laughed, "Nah, I'm pretty used to being away from them now. I do miss them a bit, but not enough for me to get really feelsy about it."
"Then what was the incident a couple of days ago, hm?" Yoongi smirked teasingly. Hoseok's cheeks turned red and he sat up straight, stuttering and lost in babbles of words before Taehyung's voice was heard from the corridor.
"I thought you were gonna get us at 10!" Taehyung grumbled into the phone, "What have you even been doing for the past half an hour?! Jimin and Jungkook are still getting ready!" Yoongi and Hoseok gasped softly and in unison before Taehyung went to grab his boots and put them on.
"I don't care if you have a surprise for me, Mom, I'm trying to get prepared!" Taehyung argued, "I'm not the one to blame because I'm late, you're the one giving us false information!"
Yoongi sighed softly before turning to wrap his arms around Hoseok. "Hobi," Yoongi said, "can you feel me hugging you?"
"No, sorry Hyung," Hoseok apologized, looking down sorrowfully. Yoongi smiled and gave two unnoticed pats on the back. "I'll get Jungkook to let me call you later, alright?" Hoseok smiled and nodded before the other two stumbled into the living room. "Yoongi-hyung, get your gay ass off of Hobi-hyung and let's go!" Jungkook called Yoongi over as Taehyung swung the front door open, everyone streaming out and finishing with Hoseok as he locked his door and swung a coat over himself. "That's no way to speak to your elders, Kook!" Yoongi scolded, catching up with Jungkook.
Once they reached the lobby, they searched around for any expensive vehicles parked nearby. After crossing the street, they found a car that Jungkook believed was big enough to be a small minivan. A middle-aged woman was stood next to it, scrolling through her phone as she leaned against the car.
"Mother of mine, how dear to see you!" Taehyung jokingly called as he ran over to his mother. She looked up at him and barely had enough time to say anything before Taehyung was tugging on the car door handles.
