"I'm not doing this! I look stupid!"
"Hyung, that's the point."
"Isn't the point supposed to be Hyung being a replacement for cake?"
"Nah, forget about that, he just looks funny and that's all that matters."

Seokjin blinked his heavy eyes open at the muffled voices outside his room. He yawned and reached for the hearing device resting on hie bedside table (the teachers forbade anyone to sleep with them in case they break; those things are expensive as hell)

He fussed with the device before snugly fitting it on and, as expected, another voice was added to the choir of muffled noises outside his room. Just as he was about to get out of bed the door slammed open, sending Seokjin curling up against the headboard in fear.

"Happy birthday, Seokjin-hyung!" The six boys cheered as they burst into the eldest's room. Seokjin only burst out in laughter when he saw Namjoon. Lazily drawn candles on paper were stuck to his head with tape, and his whole head was wrapped in a ribbon as if he was a present. "What the heck is this?!" Seokjin laughed, pushing the covers off.

"We realized that you can't have a birthday cake," Jungkook explained, pushing Namjoon closer to Seokjin, "so we got you the closest thing!" Seokjin pinched Namjoon's cheeks and the younger smiled sheepishly, his dimples only making Seokjin laugh even more. "God, you guys are weird," Seokjin smiled as he leaned in to dig his teeth into Namjoon's shoulder.

The other day, the boys had found out that there were a couple of gaming consoles at Seokjin's house, so while Seokjin was in another room relaxing and discussing things with his brother, the others were all in the living room trying to beat each other at Mariokart.

Seokjin sat down at the dining table while his brother had breakfast. As soon as Seokjin was out of bed, he prepared porridge for his brother even when he was still fast asleep. That would probably be something he would boast about for days: That he gives tender, loving care to his family.

"Hyung," Seokjin hummed, staring out the window at the pouring rain outside, "do you wanna go visit Mom's grave again?"

"Of course," his brother nodded shakily, "we can't go now, though, because it's raining too much. But we could go tonight if you want. We could bring all your friends too!"

"Hmm, I don't think they'll be interested in going to a graveyard in the middle of the night," Seokjin shrugged, "it's gonna be cold, and if it just stops raining by then it's also gonna be really wet. Also, just the thought of going to a cemetery at night should be scary for some of them."

"Ah, don't worry about that! It's your special day, you do you," his brother chuckled. Seokjin felt a blush reach his cheeks and he looked down at his hands on the table. "I-I mean, I'm fine with whatever you guys want to do, I don't really wanna do anything anyway."

"You just said that you want to visit Mom's grave again," his brother sighed, "do you want to go or not?"

"Of course I wanna go!" Seokjin's head shot up, "I'm just not sure if you guys want to do it too..." His brother bit his lip just when the door to the dining room swung open. "Hi, Hyung, hi Hyung's Hyung" Jimin grinned as he stepped in, "Jjangu's trying to eat the carpet and Namjoon-hyung said that means he's hungry, but I don't know where his food is and he's busy playing games to help me out."

Seokjin laughed, stepping out of his seat to help Jimin out. "Oh, Chim, we were just discussing," he began as he walked over to a cupboard at the corner of the room, "do you guys wanna head to my Mom's grave with us tonight?" Jimin grinned sweetly before deciphering what Seokjin had just said. "T-Tonight?" Jimin asked, to which Seokjin nodded, "But tonight's the fu—uhh, I don't think I can go tonight, but maybe the others can..."
