John yawned as he arose from sleep, his eyes involuntarily squinting at the light in the room. He smiled, feeling Thomas' arms around him. The smile didn't last long, soon being replaced by a from as soon as he noticed the empty space next to him where Alex would be, probably already awake, reading. But to John's disappointment, there was no Alex.

John was hoping that he could just fall asleep and wake up and everything would be fine. Alex would have his arms around his waist, Thomas' arms around his shoulders, both would be happy and contempt in their state.

But that was not the case. Alex was gone, and Thomas looked to have zero peace in his slumber.

John felt his heart sink, tears pooling in his green eyes. He pressed his face into Thomas' chest, trying to stifle his sobs. It wasn't successful, the noise quite audible, at least audible enough to wake Thomas.

"John?" Thomas mumbled as he pushed away the sleep that clouded his brain. "John, baby, don't cry. Oh my god please don't cry." Thomas begged, shooting upright, pulling John into his lap, cradling him in his arms carefully, wiping his tears away with the pads of his thumbs. "Johnny..."

"Everything's... Everything's g-going wrong Tommy!" John blubbered, clinging to Thomas, his fists gripping the fabric of Thomas' sweatshirt.

"I know, I know," Thomas said, trying to keep his voice as gentle as possible, almost as if his voice would make John crack like a China doll if he spoke any louder. "I hate seeing you like this John. We need to talk to him."

"Alex?! No, no, no, no, please Thomas. I don't want to- I can't- I can't-" Thomas' eyes widened as John started to hyperventilate, the panic taking over him. His whole body seemed to shake violently in Thomas' arms.

"Okay, we won't talk to Alex yet!" Thomas insured, trying to calm John down, not that it was working. "Just please calm down love, please?" Thomas looked down at John's panic filled eyes, feeling his heart shatter at the sight. "Hey, I have a better idea. You wanna go see Laf and Herc? Will that make you feel better?" John's breathing seemed to slow, the shaking of his body ceasing. Thomas slightly relaxed as John nodded. "Okay, you wanna go there now?" Thomas asked softly, rubbing circles into John's back.

"Y-Yeah," John stated, still trying to catch his breath.

"Okay, I'll carry you," Thomas said, lifting John as he stood up from the bed. John buried his face in the crook of Thomas' neck, finding the fragrance of Thomas' cologne comforting. Thomas grabbed a jacket, wrapping it around John before grabbing his keys and exiting the dorm, heading in the direction of Lafayette's dorm. He didn't care that they would get there quicker if John walked himself, he wouldn't ask that of him, not in the current state John was in.

"Laf!" Thomas yelled, banging on the door with his free hand once he reached it.

He could hear the sound of a person walking towards the door, getting louder until the door swung open, Hercules behind it.

"Thomas?" He said, sounding half asleep. "What the hell are you- John?" Hercules' eyes widened seeing John wrapped in Thomas' arms. "Oh god, please come in," Hercules stepped out of the way for Thomas to walk in. Thomas gently set John on the couch gently, sitting next to him.

Hercules ran off to his bedroom to get Lafayette, who was still asleep.

"Laf, wake up," Thomas heard from down the hall. The almost inaudible sound of Lafayette responding was undecipherable to Thomas, but Hercules' loud voice traveled through the dorm. "John and Thomas are here." Thomas could hear the sound of a shriek could be heard before Lafayette stormed into the living room.

"John mon ami!" Lafayette exclaimed, rushing to John's side. "Are you okay? How are you doing?"

Thomas gave Lafayette a look, silently telling him to give John space, to which Laf complied, taking a step back before returning his attention to John.

"How're you holding up?" He asked, his voice softer than before.

John shrugged, holding his arm out, signaling Thomas to take his hand. Thomas intertwined their fingers, giving John's hand a gentle squeeze. "I don't know. It's hard, Laf."

Lafayette nodded understandingly. "Oui, I know, mon ami." He turned his attention to Thomas. "What about you Thomas, how are you doing?" Thomas was a little taken aback by Lafayette's sudden care in him, but he just shrugged shaking his head.

"I don't know, honestly. I don't really care either, I'm just trying to keep John stable," Thomas said, running a hand through his curly mass of hair.

"God, how the hell did everything get this bad?" Hercules said, in awe of the situation.

Lafayette gritted his teeth angrily, eyeing John, noticing the tear stains clear on his face. He then looked to Thomas, who looked like an concerned and upset mess. "Alexander Hamilton, that's how."
