"Reynolds!" Hercules yelled, banging on James' dorm door. "Look motherfucker, I know you're in there, so get your ass out here!" Hercules crossed his arm as the door swung open, an angry looking James standing behind it. "I think we should talk."
"Mulligan?" James sneered, giving Hercules a once over. "Lookin' a little pudgy, I see."
Hercules face reddened, James' eyes burning holes into him. "Look douchebag, I need to talk to you." James sighed, letting Hercules step into his dorm. Hercules eyed the room, the messy space smelling of weed and alcohol. "I see you're keeping up the reputation, being a complete junkie suits you."
"Oh can it, Hercules," James said, slumping down on the ratty sex-smelling couch. "So, what is it you wanted to talk about?"
"I know you wrote it," Hercules deadpanned, not daring to take a seat anywhere in James' crummy looking dorm. James raised an eyebrow, his expression looking confused. "The Reynolds Pamphlet, you wrote it, didn't you?"
"Hercules, why would I write something about your little whore friend and his two boyfriends? I have better things to do with my time," James chuckled, lighting a cigarette against his lips.
"Look, I know about your little thing with Alex back in high school," Hercules said, towering over James. "That seems like reason enough, don't you think?" James glared up at Hercules, slowly standing up. Hercules backed away, noticing how Reynolds was slightly taller than him. "James I-"
"So you want to bring that up, huh?" James growled, putting his cigarette out before taking steps towards Hercules as he backed away. "Well Hercules, you may have muscle, but I know you. You're soft, and you don't have anyone backing you up. I could crush you."
"I-I..." Hercules stammered as James backed him up against the wall. "It's not my fault Alex was too good for you."
James' eye twitched and Hercules realized he should have chosen something else to say. James clocked Hercules in the noise, making him yelp, shrinking against the wall. James smirked as he punched the bloody-nosed man in the stomach, making Hercules groan in pain. "Fuck you, Hercules," James snapped, grinning wickedly as his foot collided with Hercules' side. "Maybe you should have lost a few pounds before you came in here accusing me of shit."
"I'm not taking back what I said," Hercules spat, wiping the blood from his lip. James grabbed Hercules by the collar of his shirt, dragging him out of the putrid dorm, shoving him outside.
"Don't come back here, fat ass," James growled before slamming the door.
"Shit," Hercules winced as he tried to stand up, feeling pain shooting through his side. He looked up as he heard rushed footsteps heading towards him. He saw Eliza and Peggy running towards him, concerned looks across their faces.
"Herc?" Peggy asked as she knelt next to him, looking over the forming bruises on his face. "What happened?!"
"Hercules, look at how bruised you are! Who did this to you?!" Eliza said, helping him up with Peggy's assistance. Hercules shook his head, not having the heart to tell the girls what happened. "Come on, we were heading to our dorm, we'll help you get there."
"I'm calling Laf," Peggy stated, and before Hercules could protest she had her phone out, pressed to her ear. It rang for a few seconds before Peggy spoke. "Hey Laf, we have your boyfriend. He's kind of... Bloody? Come to me and Eliza's dorm ASAP," Hercules chuckled as he heard Lafayette scream "What?!" through the phone. "Our dorm. Get there soon." She hung up abruptly.
The two girls helped Hercules the semi-lengthy distance to their dorm, helping him to the couch in the living room.
"Pegs, would you get me a wet towel from the bathroom?" Peggy nodded, rushing out of the room as Eliza took Hercules' hand. "What happened to you?!" Hercules shrugged, tears pooling in his eyes. "Don't just shrug, what happened?!"
"I went to Reynolds', and he punched me a few times, kicked me, called me fat then dragged me out. The whole shebang," Hercules chuckled dryly.
"Well your boyfriend is on his way-"
"Liza I don't know if you should call him that anymore," Hercules said, tears streaming down his cheeks. Eliza's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "H-He's probably going to break up with me."
"Don't say that, Hercules," Eliza scolded, taking the washcloth Peggy handed her, starting to wipe away the blood from Hercules' face. "Laf loves you more than anything, you know that," Hercules shrugged, looking away. "Hercules, don't doubt yourself because of something Reynolds said."
Hercules looked up at the ceiling. "It's not about that. Things happened the past couple of days, that's why we've all been skipping class. I said some things, and he's really mad."
"He'll forgive you, no matter what you said, Hercules," Peggy said, smiling. Hercules laughed, though he sounded completely unamused.
"Yeah right."
