chapter seventeen

Anna’s POV

‘’how much longer lou?’’ I complained my feet were killing from walking around the streets.

‘’don’t get your knickers in a twist not much longer’’ he said walking ahead a little further. Huffing I kept hold of Liam who was helping me stay stood in my heels as we hobbled over the cobbled pavements of the old village we were in. I must say it was a very pretty area, the old Victorian houses and pretty little white cottages the streets cobbled and old looking. It was very historic but I liked it. We turned a few corners and we could here live music playing, it sounded like Birdy singing Skinny Love, we turned the corner and I was gobsmacked. It was like an outdoor ball under a huge white canopy with twinkling white lights hung above us the wooden dance floor glowing beautifully in the orange glow of candles dotted around the area, people danced in couples floating around gracefully on their toes. It was like something out of a story it was truly gorgeous, set in the middle of a big lush green field you could see the stars above through a hole in the roof of the big canopy. A little piano was placed on the right side of the small stage, I wanted to go over and play it but people would know my secret talent then and I didn’t want people knowing. A few small tables were dotted around at the far side of the large area and a bar was near them. Nobody spoke everybody was just looking around, I think even Louis was quite shocked at the whole scene in front of us. It was stunning. I felt like a princess being here, it felt un real to be here with all the people I loved. I stood on to my tiptoes and lent into Liam’s ear.

‘’im going to sort thing with harry’’ I whispered he nodded approvingly and I turned to the back of the group and slipped past everyone to harry who stood alone at the back staring ahead at the scenery. I locked my fingers into his and felt him relax smoothly.

‘’gorgeous huh?’’ I asked looking out in front everybody had moved over to the tables giving me and harry a little space. Harry didn’t flinch he just continued to watch everything in front of him barely blinked.

‘’it is’’ he whispered eventually moving his eyes to look into my own I smiled at him squeezing his hand. He looked confused his bright green crystal orbs shimmered in curiosity he glanced down at our hands our entwined fingers and smiled sadly. He cupped my face in his hand.

‘’I’ve missed you’’ he said gently stroking my cheek with the pads of his soft thumbs I loved nothing more than him touching me like this, it felt like we were one. I nodded slowly.

‘’im sorry’’ I whispered leaning up as he lent down closing the small gap between our faces as we joined as one for real kissing him slowly, it sent my butterfly’s wild. I put every ounce of emotion into it, showing him how sorry I truly was. It wasn’t just like any other kiss it meant something more, like he was showing to me what he was and how much he really does care. My arms found their way around his neck and I buried my hands in his hair and his arms snaked their way around my waist hugging me tightly. I pulled away slightly for breathe as he did the same. Putting my forehead against his we stood there in silence for a while not saying anything in a comfortable silence. He broke the silence.

‘’I love you’’ he whispered peering into my eyes. I could tell by the tone of his voice and the way he said it that he meant it with every ounce of his heart he meant those 3 words.

‘’I love you to’’ I said softly quite sure that I meant it he made me feel like no one else and that was all that mattered to me. He looked at me quizzically.

‘’really?’’ he asked. I nodded smiling the sides of his lips curled up and he smiled so bright that it rose up to his eyes showing his dimples. I leant up and kissed him again taking his hand in my own we walked into the middle of the dance floor where everyone was dancing with their partners. Harry moved in and placed his hands on my waist and my arms put themselves around his neck as he twirled me around effortlessly to the beautiful music being played in the background. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Liam dancing with a pretty brunette girl he looked happy so I was. We danced like that for what seemed like ever and I loved ever second being in the arms of the boy I loved. The smile never left my face as we twirled and spun around laughing playfully, for once in so long it felt like my life was finally piecing back together again. 1 piece of my lost jigsaw puzzle was found and placed back into the slot. The next piece was fixing things with dad but I would worry about that another day I told myself, right now I was enjoying the night with my amazing best friends and boyfriend.
