Ashton Irwin Birthday Special | Kai

I sit on the worn out sofa of Ashton's mothers basement, Alex is sat beside me talking to her friend Veronica whom she decided to bring. Ashton is sat with a paper hat on in front of a pizza, carefully decorated by Michael in candles.

"Remind me why you got me a pizza?" Ashton asks, his eyes still carefully locked on the pepperoni pizza in front of him.

"Because I was gonna make a cake but failed." She admits, cuddling into his side as Calum finally reappears in the living room with a lighter to light the candles,

Ashton's shakes his head, pulling her closer to him, "You could've bought a cake."

"Okay I forgot what cake you liked." She says hesitantly, scratching the back of her neck, "Plus a cake would've been too cliché." She reasons as Calum sits down beside me, he carefully begins lighting the candles one by one, almost burning his finger in the process as he winces back slightly into my side,

I consequently nudge into Luke's side, though he doesn't seem to mind as me embraces me, throwing and arm around my shoulder as he pulls me closer to him. If you haven't realised yet, it's Ashton's birthday and Finley has pulled everyone she knows together, basically the boys and I plus Alex and her friend.

Veronica hasn't really said much, only really talking to Alex, but she seems nice enough and if there's one thing I can trust Alex for its choosing nice friends.

We're all sat around a large wooden table waiting to sing happy birthday, and when we do, God is it out of tune. I think Luke is purposely singing bad just for entertainment, Michael is belting the words as though he's singing the most intense screamo song and Calum is singing it like Beyoncé. Calum is Beyoncé.

His finger is waving in the air like some sort of sassy chipmunk as his voice curves to all different, out of tuned pitches, Ashton finds this hilarious as he begins to giggle like a teenage girl.

"Okay, Calum, calm down." I giggle as Luke's arm tightens slightly around me, his own laughs taking over slightly,

Calum seems very pleased that's he's made everyone laugh as a wide, a proud smile taking over his face. Ashton's blows out the candles, instantly taking all the candles off the pizza so he can grab a piece but Finley hits his hand.

"What?" He groans holding his hand against his chest,

She shakes her head in mock disappointment and I laugh at their little quarrel, she straightens up while throwing him a stern look.

"You can eat pizza later, we have to open the presents." She elaborates, trying to pull him away from the enormous pizza,

He snaps his hand away her grasp as he grabs a slice, "You stopped me from eating breakfast this morning, don't even try to say you didn't." He starts as she opens her mouth to speak, "You literally ripped the bowl out of my hands and said 'nope you need room to eat your enormous cake' so sorry Finny but a mans gotta eat."

Finley shoves his harshly, a glare on her face as Ashton tries desperately to take a bite out of his huge, floppy slice of pizza.

"Don't call me that." She spits out quietly, crossing her arms sternly across her chest as a harsh glare is thrown in the birthday boys direction,
