2 Weeks LaterI zipped up my last bag which contained my shoes and essentials and checking everything off on my list going through it again to make sure I wasn't forgetting anything.
A knock on my door interrupts me and I look up to see Madison with her suitcase rolling behind her.
"Everyone's ready," she informs and she takes my smaller bag for me as we make our way down the stairs.
We leave my house and divide into both Mason's and Matthew's cars. Mason places my suitcase and bag into the trunk and I wait inside the car, snapping a selfie of myself for my Snapchat story.
"Damn my girl hot!" Madison shrieks behind me making me jump.
I laugh thanking her and post the picture.
_____________
Everyone in the car was asleep except me and Mason.
"I can't believe this is our last week together," I swallow the lump beginning to form in my throat.
"This week will be the best," he reached over placing his hand on my thigh reassuringly. "And I'll still come and visit whenever I can."
I didn't answer, I just pecked his cheek and rested my head against the seat.
_____________
I feel someone shaking me and my eyes slowly pry open to see Mason. The car wasn't moving, and Madison and Matthew weren't in the car.
"Ar, we're at a rest stop. You can go to the bathroom if you have to."
I yawned and stepped out of the vehicle, following the signs to the restroom. After taking care of my business I washed my hands and splashed some cold water on my face to wake up.
"How many hours are left?" Kris walks into the bathroom stretching her arms.
"About 6," I reply fixing my hair and applying some lip gloss. I leave the bathroom and head to the vending machine to get some snacks. I grab the pack of Sour Patch Kids and M&Ms and begin to walk towards the car.
I'm suddenly yanked into a corner and I release a scream, instantly relaxing when I see Mason laughing hysterically.
"It's not funny!" I whine, crossing my arms together.
"Come on Ar," he gave me a knowing look before I gave in and laughed myself.
"So what's wrong?" I ask once we had calmed down.
"Well I've been sitting in a car for 17 hours, and I haven't been able to kiss you with Maddy and Matt in the car," he places his hands on my hips, smiling cheekily.
"Okay well I guess you'll have to sit in the car for 5 more," I joke and pat his chest, beginning to turn away.
"Not so fast," he yanks me towards him and collides his lips with mine. We both smile into the kiss. The kiss was filled with love and passion, and in a week they'd be gone.
He pulled back and began to trail kisses down my neck while his hands were placed on my hips. My hand traveled up to his hair, pulling at it. A low groan erupted from him and I continued.
[Mason's POV]
I pulled away remembering we weren't here alone. She frowns and I peck her cheek, assuring her nothing was wrong. I nod my head towards the parking lot and she nods back, knowing what I was referring to. We walk back to our friends hand in hand before receiving smirks from everyone.
"Damn what took you guys so long?" Alex jokes, winking at the both of us.
We both smile at each other and I witness Aria's cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
[Aria's POV]
After successfully crossing the border and driving a little longer, we finally arrived at the hotel. Maddy accompanied me to the lobby while everyone else unloaded the luggage.
We received our keys cards and wristbands that we had to wear in order to be inside the parks and bar areas. After locating our rooms and a small argument between Kris and Madison on which room was the best and whose room was whose, we were finally settled in.
I stepped onto the balcony of my room and admired the view. The hotel was right on the edge of the beach and the view was breathtaking. The sun had just began to set on the horizon and the sky was a blend of yellows and pinks.
I flopped onto my bed after changing into some comfortable clothes, my eyes immediately closing. I was exhausted which I shouldn't have been, seeing as I practically slept the entire car ride here.
"Ar?" There's was a knock at the door and I immediately recognized Mason's voice. I stand from my spot on the bed, walking to unlock the door.
Before I can say anything he gently grips my waist and embraces me in a passionate kiss. After what feels like minutes but is only seconds I pull away and smile.
"What brings you in here?" I giggle as he pulls me closer to him.
"Just came to check on you." He goes back in for another kiss and I can't help but melt in his arms.
"Hey Ar- OH GOD MY EYES. I will never unsee that for as long as I live!" I abruptly pull away from Mason and turn to see Kris, Madison, and Stephanie standing in my doorway, loads of snacks in their arms.
"Why is everyone deciding to come to my room?" I sigh and rub my hands over my face.
"Um, hello? Did you seriously think that we were gonna take a trip to Mexico and not have some girls time?" Kris stated as if it were the most obvious thing ever. "Which reminds me, Mason this is your cue to leave."
"Definitely feeling the love." Mason mutters as he pecks me on the lips one more time before walking towards the door where him and Kris have a short staring contest.
"You guys have impeccable timing." I groan as Mason leaves and they all enter my room, dumping the snacks on my bed.
"How were we supposed to know that things were getting all hot and steamy in here? Ar, I think you should apologize to me for having seen that." I roll my eyes at Kris's dramaticness.
"Okay, so we have the Notebook and Perks of Being a Wallflower. Which one?" Stephanie holds the two discs in her hand as we all exclaim, "Do you even have to ask?"
"The Notebook it is."
______________
We all laid on the bed, sobbing into the pillows as we watched the screen.
"This... is .... so.... sadddd," Kris sobbed as she bit into a hot cheeto and blew her nose. I wiped my tears nodding my head in agreement.
It was nice spending time with my girls. All this Mason stress was taking up most of my time and I didn't realize I was drawing away from them.
After a couple of minutes, the end credits scrolled on the screen. We began to clean up the empty bags and wrappers along with the damp tissues. The girls left the room after wishing me a goodnight and I walked into the bathroom to brush my teeth.
I turned off my light as I crawled into bed and buried myself under the covers. I connected my phone to it's charger and it instantly lit up with a message.
Goodnight babe, I love you
I smiled while I type a reply, lock my phone, and close my eyes. This week was going to be the best, and nothing was going to ruin it.
