I sigh in relief when I find my plane seat and I have a window seat. The only other person in my row is a guy whose face I can't see as he puts his luggage into the storage unit above.

I hear the compartment shut before he takes the aisle seat, and that's when I see who he is.

"Dr. Gonzales?" He turns to me and a bright smile appears on his face.

"Ms. Mendez," he nods. "Hi how have you been?"

"I've been okay how about you?" I reply. "Oh and you can call me Aria."

"You can call me Evan," he grins. "I've been pretty well actually."

He tells me about how excited he was for this trip but also about how much he'd miss his girlfriend. My heart warms at how he spoke of her. I wondered who the lucky girl was. She sounded really great. I had also learned that he was 24, and he was Spanish.

We talked through the first hour of the flight before I chose to look up popular places in New York. I hadn't even analyzed that I was staying for a whole three days until now. I needed something to do.

Mason and I could visit the Statue of Liberty as well as Time Square. New York was definitely on my Places to Visit Before I Die list so I was definitely excited.

My eyes begin to feel a bit heavy and I shut my laptop, fixing myself and falling asleep.

______________

Stepping onto the streets of New York was probably the scariest thing I had ever done. There were cars everywhere and people on every piece of sidewalk. I was definitely surprised considering it was close to midnight.

It was chaotic yet amazing.

People walked past me, some waving for taxis like I had seen in the movies. Others walked with their phones to their ears or in the air as they took selfies or videos.

I waited for the cars to settle before running cross the street to the large hotel-like building that Mason's father lived in.

It was going to be weird meeting his father for the first time. I didn't know how to feel. He left Mason and his mother after making them go through hell.

I suppose I'd be able to change my view on him considering Mason already has. Without a second thought, I enter the luxurious building meeting the person in charge at the front desk.

"Hello miss, how may I help you?" He smiled. He was a light skinned guy with beautiful blue eyes and a tall, slender frame. I look at his nametag that read Bryson, and I smile back asking him for the specific floor Mase was living on.

"That happens to be our highest floor," he stares at the computer screen. He then directs me to the elevator and offers to bring my suitcase for me.

I press the largest numbered button on the wall and the door slowly shuts as the elevator begins to ascend.

[Mason]

She was kissing me and I was kissing her and suddenly it was really hot in here. I knew that I shouldn't be doing this. A voice in the back if my head screamed at me What the fuck are you doing?! You're engaged! But I could care less right now.

I was hurt. I forgave Aria for the times she kissed Ethan but I couldn't forgive her for having sex with him. For cheating on me.

Karina lifted my shirt over my head and ran her hands down my chest not breaking the kiss once. I gripped her waist and pulled her closer to me. She paused to take off her shirt before we both found our way to my bed.
