[Mason]

I didn't blame Aria for not wanting to be close to me. I was ashamed of myself. Aria saying yes to giving me a second chance was the last thing she said before we went to bed.

Now, here I was, gazing at her in her sleep and admiring every feature on her perfect body. My hand drew circles on her back, near the dimples she had there. My other hand played with her hair. The hair she'd always complain about saying it was too damaged and boring, but little did she know her hair was one of the millions of reasons I was crazy about her.

She began to stir in her sleep, and I paused my actions knowing she'd probably be back to being distant as soon as she opened her eyes. I hated that things weren't normal, but I deserved it.

Just as I thought, her eyes opened and she immediately lifted herself off of me shuffling into her bathroom without a word. I decided it'd be best I wasn't in here when she returned, and I left her room.

I stepped into the all too familiar guest room, lying down on the bed. I turn to the bedside table retrieving the small velvet box, and I open it, revealing the diamond ring I was planning on giving Aria.

Christmas was tomorrow and I had a date with Aria planned. I knew we weren't on the best terms at the moment, but hopefully I could change that today.

I tugged on some black jeans and an Adidas hoodie before walking across the hall to Aria's room and knocking on the door. She opened the door, showing herself in only a towel. Her hair was wet, and water droplets trickled down her chest and shoulders, making her skin glow.

Fuck. I'd be lying if I said I didn't wish I could just rip that towel off of her.

"Can I help you?" She speaks, snapping me out of my fantasizing.

"Oh yeah," I chuckle nervously. "I was hoping you'd like to go get breakfast." It felt like we were strangers and I hated it.

"Um sure," she mumbled. "Just let me change." She begins to close the door before I stop her and push my arm against it not being able to handle this anymore.

"What are you-"

"Look Aria, I know I fucked up okay?" I sigh stepping into the room. "But I can't make things better if we're going to act like strangers." She looks at me straight in the eyes before sighing.

"You're right. The truth is I miss you, but-"

I wrap my arm around her waist and pull her towards me so that her body is pressed against mine. Her talking ceases and she's now staring straight at me, curious to see what my next move was.

I lean in, connecting our lips and I'm surprised when she doesn't push me away. Soon, she loses the hesitance and kisses me back as my hands travel to both sides of her face, pulling her even closer to me.

After a minute, I pull away with a smile on my face, and she's still looking up at me, her cheeks a slight tint of red.

"I love you," I whisper, holding her chin with my thumb and forefinger. She doesn't answer but instead let's go of her towel, letting it pool behind her and expose her body.

Her eyes remain on mine and just as I'm about to speak, she jolts up, reconnecting our lips. I walk us back to her bed and I place her down so that her body is under mine, without breaking the kiss.

"What. About. Breakfast?" I speak in between kisses realizing that if we kept going, we wouldn't get to the café on time.

"Breakfast can wait," she replies yanking me down and placing her lips on mine once again.
