[Aria]

The next couple of hours weren't as bad as I thought they'd be. I accepted that Mason had to go and that'd he be back for winter break. I wasn't happy that I had to wait another 2 months to see him, but if that's what it took, then I was willing to wait.

I changed into some sweatpants and one of Mason's t-shirts before jumping into bed and starting the Netflix. After 4 episodes of One Tree Hill I decided to call it a night and buried myself under my covers.

_______________

The monotonous sound of my alarm blared through my room and I slowly rolled over swiping my phone screen and shutting it off. After 5 minutes of lying in bed and debating whether or not I should skip school, I chose to attend. I lazily trudged out of my comfortable bed starting my morning routine.

I pulled into the school parking lot finding a spot and heading inside. I was soon greeted by Kris and Madison who gave me sympathetic smiles and insisted on hanging out to get my mind off things. Before responding my phone dinged signaling a message and I smiled brightly as Mason's name flashed on the screen.

Hey babe my plane just landed. I'll call you once I'm settled in. I love you

I quickly typed a reply, my day suddenly getting 100 times better. I headed to class with Kris and our group of friends who all seemed affected by Mason's absence. Before heading to my seat, the girls and I agree to meet at my house for a movie night after school.

Class drags on as always and I find it harder to concentrate without Mason next to me. I manage to get the gist of the lesson enough to the point that I can complete the homework before the bell rings, and I gather my notebook and folder walking out of the classroom and heading to Bio.

[Ethan]

"Alright I'll see you later man," I say to Mitchell before making my way to Biology.
I honest to God hated that class due to it having no part in my future, but for some reason I kept going.

I turn the corner and enter the room my eyes instantly finding the reason why I still came to this class. She was finally back and I was back to checking her out.

I didn't say anything as I took a seat next to her. I swear I was so grateful that this was my permanent seat. I opened my mouth to speak before Mr. Henderson spoke up announcing an upcoming project.

"For this project, you are to design a power efficient society," he announced. "The criteria will be passed out along with the rubric."

I rolled my eyes at his words along with most of the students in this class. A girl in the front raised her hand and was soon called on.

"Are we allowed to have a partner?"

"Yes, I almost forgot," Mr. Henderson thanked her. "For this project, you are working with whoever is sitting next to you. No changes or excuses will be allowed. You have until break to complete it and it will count as fifty percent of your final grade." He finished and I smirked to myself realizing who my partner was.

[Aria]

I internally groaned at the mention of who was going to be my partner. Someone please kill me now. I huffed before turning towards Ethan who was staring down at the handout the teacher had given.

"So I guess we're partners," I sighed causing his eyes to shoot up at mine before giving me a nod.

"So how do you wanna do this?" I asked only to be replied to with a shrug.

"What are you mute now?" I asked growing frustrated with his actions.

He let out a genuine laugh which I was not mad at, at all. It was actually quite a nice sound.
