"Hey babe!" He smiles on the screen and all I feel is guilt coursing through me. I have to tell him, it's the only way we can work this out."Hey," I feign a smile. I know telling him is going to hurt him, and I won't be able to live with it.
"What's wrong?" His facial expression shifts to one of concern noticing my attitude. He knew me so well.
"I-i gotta tell you something," I hesitate to say.
"Okay," he nods. "What is it?" I can't stand to look at him through the camera. I know this is going to end in an argument.
"Ethan kissed me," I whisper so quietly that it was inaudible.
"Sorry I can't hear you," he says. I take a deep breath before speaking up.
"Ethan kissed me," I choke out as a tear slips from my eye. I look away from the laptop screen not wanting to see the look on his face. This wasn't really a matter in which you cry, however, only I knew what that kiss really was and all the guilt built inside of me was now being released.
"When?" He asks after a minute of silence. I could hear his breathing that was evidently heavier.
"Sunday," I mumble scared to see how this argument would break out.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He scoffs causing me to turn to the screen and see his face. I couldn't handle seeing the look of hurt and disappointment that was etched across it.
"I was going to bu-"
"That's always your excuse Aria!" He raises his voice. "You always say you're going to tell me, yet I always end up forcing it out of you!"
"Mase just hear me ou-"
"Did you push him away?" I go quiet at the question. I want to say yes, but I know damn well that Kris' phone call was what interrupted that kiss, but I couldn't tell him that.
"Yes," I lie. He gives me a suspicious look, as if in disbelief. After a minute of silence he finally nods in response. I knew he was still upset, and I had to make it right. I had to cut off all ties with Ethan and focus on maintaining my relationship.
"Mase," I spoke to which he replies to by looking at the camera. "I'm sorry. I promise you it meant nothing."
He sighs running a hand through his hair. "It's fine."
I knew it wasn't. He couldn't forgive me that easily. I had to make this right, even if it took time.
"I'll stay away from him," I reply.
"Ar, I don't want you to feel like I don't trust you, I do but..." his words make me feel even more guilty for kissing him back. Mason didn't deserve this.
"It's alright Mason, it's about time I set the record straight," I say. And with that, I say goodbye and end the call.
I let out a huff before closing my laptop screen and standing from my desk to take a shower. It was time to end all things with Ethan Owens.

When I arrive at school I head towards my locker first and then straight for Kris'. She was there like I expected, fixing her makeup through the small mirror she kept in there.
"Hey." I sigh leaning against the other side of her locker.
"Hey girly," she replies, a huge grin on her face which noticeably falters when she sees the mood I'm in.
"What's wrong?" She questions.
"Nothing. Just some stuff with Mase." She nods giving me a sympathetic smile and I say "Where were you yesterday? It seems like you left school early without telling anyone and you haven't been answering my calls. Did something happen?"
