3 weeks later

[Aria]

The wedding was officially one month away and it was almost as if I was dreaming. I still couldn't believe I was going to be married to Mason at eighteen. My nerves went crazy just at the thought of all the people who were going to be there.

The wedding planner had taken care of booking everything along with the decor. She was one of the best in California and I can only imagine how much it must have cost Mason's father to hire her. Then again, he was never one to worry about money considering he was loaded.

I was currently on my way to the dress shop. My dress had arrived this morning and it was time for my first fitting. It was just my mother and I today since the girls were busy doing their own thing. Mason and I hadn't seen each other much either which was a bit ironic considering we would be vowing to spend the rest of our lives together in just a few weeks.

His dad had flew in from New York to help with the wedding and Mason had been with him a lot of the time. It didn't bother me though, I knew he was still checking up on me and I knew he was only a call away if I needed anything.

We arrive at the shop and the dress is even more beautiful than I remember it. We don't waste time and get straight to the fitting. I change out of my clothes and step into the dress while my mother helps me with the sleeves. The gown was gorgeous but it did fit a bit tight around my waist and chest area.

It seemed like the seamstress had noticed too because she was quick to start pointing out what it was she needed to alter.

"This dress will be perfect by next week!" She promises and I nod.

I collapse onto the bleachers, my breathing heavy and sweat dripping down my face.

"So how was that for a girl?" Amber smirks, tossing the basketball to me. We had just finished a one-on-one, and she had put me to shame.

"Who the hell did you play for? The US team?" I ask, reaching for my water bottle. She laughs at me from her spot against the hoop and I'm shocked at the fact that she's barely sweating.

How?

"So how about a rematch?" She lifts her eyebrows at me. "Or we can get Five Guys."

"Five Guys," we say in unison and she giggles.

God, I will never get tired of that sound.

We grab our bags and make our way to my car. These last few weeks had been great. Amber was such a cool person to be around and I really liked her.

Rachel and I hadn't been hanging as much considering she had a boyfriend now. She and Evan were getting pretty serious and I didn't want to take up her time. Don't get me wrong, we still talked a lot and would get breakfast together often, but it wasn't as much as before.

The drive to Five Guys is short and fortunately, so is the line. We order our burgers and I slide my card before Amber has the chance to protest.

"Why do you always do that?" She whines as we find a table. We settle for one against the large window with the high chairs.

"Do you really think I'm going to let you pay for anything while you're with me?"

She stares at me with a small grin on her face as she shakes her head. Soon, one of the workers calls out our order number and Amber stands up before I can and gets our food.

After lunch, we headed over to my house. I was putting on some Netflix while Amber grabbed some blankets and pillows from my room.
