[Aria]"So what was that about?" I ask Mason pressing the damp rag to his face. He sucks in a breath as the rubbing alcohol comes in contact with the cut on his jaw. We had decided to come to my house after the dance. I was currently sitting on my kitchen counter while Mason stood in between my legs and I examined his bruises and cuts.
"I was in the bathroom and when I came out, Ethan was standing against the wall," he begins to explain. "He started saying shit about me going to New York and not caring about you. By then there was a crowd around us and I asked what his problem was and you saw what happened after," he mumbles. I nod, understanding that he wasn't the one to start the dispute.
"I'm sorry," I sigh resting my hand on his cheek.
"For what?" He furrows his eyebrows.
"For being mad at you," I look down.
He tilts my head up to meet his gaze. "Don't apologize for something that was bound to happen. I knew coming to this dance would mean I'd have to see Ethan, but at least we had an amazing night before that," he smirks and my cheeks blush a shade of red knowing what he was referring to.
Once Mason's cuts were all taken care of, we decided to call it a night. We headed to my room where I changed out of the now dirty and wrinkled dress. Mason removed his tux changing into a pair of his joggers I had kept here. After cleaning off my makeup and brushing my teeth, I crawled into bed next to him wrapping my arms around his bare torso and resting my head on his chest.
"Ar," he spoke up. I hummed in response my eyes closed.
"I wanna spend the rest of my life with you," he said. I smiled at the thought of being married to him. Obviously, we were still young, but I knew I wanted to marry Mason someday.
"Me too," I smiled. "Someday."
"Yeah," he sighed planting a kiss on my forehead. "Someday."
[Ethan]
I slip into her earning a moan as I begin to kiss down her neck. It was hard to even fuck someone right now because all I had going through my mind was Aria. I hate everything about this situation. I hate that I stupidly fell for her, I hate that she's with Mason, and I hate that she hates me.
I thrust into Rachel harder earning a louder reaction from her but nothing from me. I crash my lips into hers trying to think of anything that wasn't Aria. She tugs at my hair as her lips move against mine forcefully and just like every other time we fuck, I feel nothing.
By the time we finish, my mind is still flooded with images and thoughts of Aria, and at this point I need something. I need some release from all this pointless thinking.
"Do you have any booze?" I turn to Rachel who's clipping her bra.
"Ethan you don't dr-"
"That wasn't my question," I snap.
"Dining room case," she sighs running a hand through her hair. I didn't care if I'm being a dick at this point, I needed to get her out of my head.
I didn't hesitate to march towards the cabinet and retrieve the bottle of whiskey before taking a large swig. I grimace at the bitter taste that burns my throat. The taste I had missed so much.
"Ethan what's going on?" She walks into the room a look of worry etched on her face.
"Nothing," I shrug taking another swig and already growing used to the burning sensation. I didn't realize Rachel was coming towards me until the glass bottle was ripped out of my hands and set onto the dining room table.
