Maya groaned at the noise of her alarm. Reaching over to slam it off she grunted at the foot lodged in her neck. Skylar, who had snuck in, had crawled in the bed. Laying in the middle as if she had owned it. She stolen one of Maya's pillows and most of her blanket. Sitting up she couldn't help but laught at the position she was in. Her legs were spreaded out in every direction. Her mouth wide open as she drooled oblivious of the loud alarm. Her curly hair matted with sweat against her face.
Leaving her to sleep Maya quietly got out of bed. She totally did not want to go to school. She looked back down at her bed sadly. Her eyes looking longingly at the soft material. She wanted to crawl back in and snuggle up with her child but nope. She couldn't . Grumbling she went to take her shower before waking Skylar up to bathe and get ready. It was only 5:30am and she had two hours to get to school.
Turning the water on as high as it could go. Maya stripped out of her clothes stepping in. A whimper of pleasure escaped her thought as the boiling hot water splashed against her skin causing her to slowly relax. She wondered how school would go. Was he still there? Where they all still friends? Did they hate her for leaving or did they even notice? She winced. Of course they had noticed. She didn't even leave with a goodbye. She just, left without a word. Without a goodbye. Of course they would hate her. She was a coward now. The one thing she hated out of everything. Running away.
Pouring her favorite peach scented body wash. She began to wash up. She had nothing to worry about. What if they ignored her to the point they didn't even notice her? Was mad at her that they wouldn't speak to her. In an odd way she could live up to that. She wasn't planning on telling anyone anyway. Why would she? She would be either teased or yelled at and she could live without it. Not that she cared what other people thought. She had years dealing with people giving her nasty looks. However though these wouldn't be looks of strangers. These would be looks of her friends.
Where they still her friend?
Maya frowned, she was thinking about this to hard. Deciding on letting whatever will happen, happened. She wasn't ashamed of her little girl. Riley wouldn't speak to her when she tried. Farkle of course sided with Riley last she checked and she didn't want to think of him.
"Ugh!" Maya growled frustated letting her head hit the tile of the shower. The water spraying over her head wetting uo her body. Why was life so damn difficult!? She knew why she was so nervous though. It was because of him
"You're Maya freaking Hart! No guy scares you." Maya argued with herself.
'He's going to be so mad when you tell him though.'
Maya frozed, he was going to mad when she told him. Correction "If I tell him."
'Karma.'
Maya rolled her eyes at the thought. She was going to tell him. Eventually, there was no law saying that she had to tell him. She was going to tell him but maybe. Just maybe she could have a few minutes of normalness until she was ready. That was it! She'd just confess when she was ready. She was going to tell them Riley or Lucas. She had enough time till then. It wasn't like she couldn't not just tell them. She'd face the consequences when she was ready.
Deciding to go with that. Maya scrubbed herself down until she was done with her shower. She pulled her towel around herself stepping out of the shower. Walking out she peaked in to her room seeing that Skylar was still fast asleep. Quietly getting dressed. Maya put on a nice flowy cranberry colored tank top and her high waist denim shorts. Luckily it was still hot in New York dor her to be able to. Pulling her hair in a high sloppy ponytail. Maya put a little foundation on her face to cover her slight baggy tired eyes and put on a little bit of lip stick. Feeling great with her look Maya went to the livingroom. Everything in the apartment was now out of its boxes.
