She didn't like it here. There were no busy cars zipping past her. People always acknowledged her instead of zipping right past her. The music that played wasn't her favorite. It was always happy as if there was a reason to celebrate.
Maya scoffed, celebrate, She thought bitterly and looked down st her four month slightly curved belly with betrayal. There was nothing to celebrate.
Maya toyed with her phone. She had to call him to let him know but everytime she went to his name. Clicked the number to press call. She always chickened out. She couldn't tell him. She couldn't tell her. She felt like she couldn't tell anyone.
"And it's all your damn fault." Maya growled to her stomach "Yours."
Maya knew she was being a bit dramatic. Her mother always said she was. It took two to tango but as she sat alone in the withering heat. She couldn't help but be mad a she wanted to blame anyone but herself and since it was the only person like thing here. She didn't know the gender yet so she continued to call it. She decided to blame it.
Looking at the scotch that she got from her mother's stash. She saw the bubbles of the six morning after pills she laced with it. One sip and this would be over. One sip and she could go back home and pretend like none of this ever happened. She would have never betrayed her friend and he would never know to break his heart. Reaching a shakey hand up. She picked the glass up. Toying with it in her hand and her phone in the other.
"I don't know much about teen pregnancy," A voice said causing Maya to jump out of her skin. Her phone and glass falling on the concrete of her steps. Unlike her phone though the glass shattered in pieces ruining any plans she had. Looking up bewildered and angry. Her breath caught seeing a fairly good looking guy. A bit older than her but still good looking. His brown eyes amused as he watched her reaction thouhh his eyes on her protruding stomach "But I'm pretty sure drinking isn't good for the baby."
"Who the hell are you?" Maya looked at her, wrapping her arms around her bump self-concious as if it hid the bump.
"You don't know me?" The boy asked the same amused smirk on his face "I'm your neighbor. You've been here for three weeks and you don't know me. We go to school together and everything."
"Really?" Maya sassed "I would've known if I had a stalker neighbor that watched me go to my school."
"Im a Junior." The guy said sitting down beside her ignoring her look of protest "You're a freshman. Mia Hard right?"
"Wrong, but what's it to you?" Maya glared.
The guy held his hands up in surrender "Sorry? Are you always this mean or is it a hormonal thing?" Maya scoffed, was this guy for real? Rolling her eyes she began to get up "So what happened?"
"What?" Maya stopped her motions to eye him.
The guy rolled his eyes as if he was talking to someone incompetent "Why are you drinking preggers?" He eleborated causing Maya to clench her fist.
"None of your goddamn business." Maya spat "I'm not playing doctor Phil with some stalker guy-"
"Josh Shelton." Josh smirked "I'm not usually a stalker but when i see a beautiful damsel, I tend to stalk."
Maya's nose scrunched up disgusted. First he was taunting her and now he was flirting with her "So not only are you a stalker but you're a creep?"
Josh merely shrugged and reached down to pick up her forgotten phone. Before she could reach and take it; And probably slap him with it for being an ass and touching it. He opened it. His eyes squinting loghtly as he read it "Lucas Huckleberry Friar? Baby daddy I persume? Atleast the kid would be cute. What he do? Cheat on you?"
