"Where the hell have you been?"

Maya looked up from the door as she stepped in the house with Skylar still sleeping in her arms. She had just gotten back from the hospital to Josh sitting on her couch glaring at her as if he should be mad at her. Maya rolled her eyes as she took in the authority look on her totally ex boyfriends face and voice. She had told Dylan he was had came here which the other girl proceeded to remind her of a few unpleasent things from her past. Skylar, her mother, Riley or Lucas wasn't the only one who hated the guy. As he was yelling at her in front of her sick sleeping child. She was beginning to put her name on the list.

"Can you shut the hell up my child is sleeping," Maya grumbled rocking Skylar softly silently telling her to go back to sleep. Going to the room ignoring Josh. She was  went to Skylar's room putting her to sleep knowing the medicine that the doctor had given to her was making her drowsy. Once she was settled. Maya kissed her head softly and went to promptly kick him out.

"Maya," Josh stood up from the sofa, his  face showing a concern that Maya was calling bullshit "Where were you."

"Better yet," Maya walked to the kitchen to get some water for her sore throst "Where were you? Huh Josh? " Maya sassed grabbing a bottle from the fridge. Taking a sip she turned to face him "Where?"

"I was gone because Skylar was sick," Josh defended himself, his voice raised slightly "What good would it be if we both got sick!? Now where were you?"

Maya scoffed, a chuckle escaping her lips. Was that the best excuse he could come up with? What good would it be if they were both sick when he wasn't even here? Doing who know what who knows where?  How was it that Lucas, who she wasn't dating, could take care of them but the guy. Who claimed to love her through thick and thin. Left her as soon as she needed him the most.

"Out," Maya replied curtly walking back into the living room. "With someone who actually gives a damn when people are sick."

"Who?" Josh demanded and frowned when she didn't continue. Suddenly it hit him causing him to laugh incrediously "Lucas?"

"Does it matter?" Maya scowled crossing her arms "It's not like you care! You never care Josh!"

"I Care!" Josh argued slámina his fist on the coffee table that it shook some. The noise causing Maya to jump startled. Hesitantly she shifted foot from foot refusing to step down as Josh got up. Marching over to her in a way to fast motion causing Maya to clench her fist. Ready to punch him if he tried anything stupid "I took time out of my job to come here! To see you! I said I love you over and over! Then you have the nerver to say that I don't care!? You're so selfish! Now I can't go out to see the town before I leave? Are you really going to start this Maya?"

"Are you really going to say that as if I'm stupid Josh?" Maya asked bewildered "'Seeing the town', really Josh?" Maya whispered low and dangerously. Her finger poking his chest. She was glad Skylar was out of the room so she couldn't hear this. She shouldve expected this with Josh. That how it always had been in there relationship. Toxic. "And," Maya sighed shaking her head backing away from him. Her fingers going trough her hair stressed. She was surprised she didn't have a head of gray hair by now  "I can't do this anymore Josh."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Josh seethed, the anger evident on his face.

"It means, Josh this isn't working out? " Maya stated, pausing for him to say anything. When he didn't she continued "You're still the ignorant piece of shit you were a year ago. Actually you know what? You're more than that. You want to go back home? Be my guest-"

"I can make sure you never see her again you know." Josh said so lowly Maya could've missed it but she still heard it. The 'excuse me' coming from her lips. " Last year? Nathan took the fall for you but-"
