||Just to give a fair warming, this chapter is a tad... out there because ×××× is going to try some to do some shady shit and it'll make it you hate him more. I already hate him and I haven't even finished writing it yet 😂 You've been warned
Maya glanced up from her book and glared. Lucas had been staring at her since first period and now they were in third. He had been staring at her between classes and through classes. And honestly? It was getting on her damn nerves. Ever since the box they had found he had practically stalked her in hopes she would tell her mother. It wasn't that she was going to. She wasn't but she needed time. How would she even going to address that to her?
Oh, Hey ma. I know you're lying by saying dad never loves us ans that's why he left? Yeah fucking right.
Continuing to glare at Lucas who was still openingly staring at her. She picked up a pencil and pointed it dangerously close towards him "Quit staring at me or I'm going to stab you with this." Maya threatened quietly.
Maya nearly did when he scoffed at her as if she was bluffing. Instead, he leaned closer across the table they were sitting irrating Maya further "Did you tell your mother yet?"
"Would I be here if I did?" Maya asked, her voice laced with sarcasm.
"I don't know." Lucas replied honestly studing her.
Rubbing her forehead, Maya placed her book down "Lucas, I'm not telling her right now. "
"I think you should." Lucas told her gently as he reached across table taking her hand and smiled when she gave him a small smile back "If you want. I'll be there with you for moral support. I'll even bring ice cream."
"And oreos?" Maya asked with a small smile.
"Anything you want," Lucas promised causing Maya to blush once more "So we'll tell her tonight?"
Suddenly, Maya's mood shifted again confusing Lucas. Taking her hands gently out of his. She placed a hand back onto her book and began to fiddle with the page. "Not tonight, I'm sorta busy. I was actually hoping if you can pick Skylar up from daycare and maybe take her to the park?"
Maya bit her lip as Lucas raised an eyebrow. She knew he knew she was keeping something from him. He knew her schedule better than she did. So her telling him that she was busy did seem a bit odd. Knowing it would raise more suspicions. Maya reached back over taking his hand.
"Please?" Maya continued seeing his hesitance "I just want to rearrange her room and make it a surprise.
Liar
"Is that all?" Lucas asked still unsure
"Of course." Maya promised, standing up as the end of the period bell rung.
With a sigh, Lucas shook his head and stood up. Wrapping an arm around her shoulders he placed a soft kiss in her head "Alright then," Lucas told her leading her out of the room towards the cafeteria " If you say so."
With a grin, Maya rested her head against his chest. Once she knew he couldn't see her face she let her true emotions show. Ignoring the guilt practically burning a pocket.

"You were always with the dramatics." He scoffed causing Maya to clench her fist "Please, Maya I just came home in a red eye because you said it was important. No one has time for jokes."
Looking at her idiot ex or trying to be ex-boyfriend. The said idiot seem to not understand the words 'were actually officially over'. He still stood in her room with his arms crossed lazily across his chest as if she was the one getting on his nerves. Before she would've thought that it was hot. Instead she just found it annoying.
