A month after the Auradon Alumnus returned home, Zelena moved back to her farmhouse with Baby Robyn.
In that time span Zelena and Evie's relationship have improved. Evie's relationship with her mother have also improved after Regina finally approved of Doug.
Belle went back to live with her father taking both her sons with her.
Mal and Lily were now friends.
Jay and Carlos started working in the diner.
Everything was well, until the moment that Evie visited her aunt's farmhouse.
Zelena was talking to the Evil Queen.
"The plan's going smoothly, sis." the queen declared.
"I don't know how I can keep up the charade." Zelena admits, "I can't lie to Evie, anymore."
Evie felt a pang of pain. "You lied to me!" Evie moved away from the wall, "I trusted you and all this time you have been conniving with her."
Zelena walked closer to Evie, but Evie moved back. "No." Evie shook her head and then ran outside.
"Evie!" Zelena ran after Evie.
"I can't believe I actually trusted you!" Evie yelled, "Loved you, more than my own mother! I thought you cared but I can see now that you don't... never did. You were only playing me, like some pawn in this sick twisted game of revenge."
Zelena cries, "I did care..."
"No, you didn't." Evie shook her head, "I hate you!"
Evie ran away.
Mal was walking down the streets, when she saw Evie running crying.
"Evie!" Mal walked closer to her friend, "Hey, what's wrong?"
Evie shook her head.
"Come on, Evie," Mal asks, "are we doing this? E, tell me what's wrong."
"I trusted her and she lied to me." Evie replied.
"Who?" Mal asked.
"Wicked." Evie sneered.
"What happened?" Mal asked unsurprised.
"She has been in league with the evil queen." Evie sobbed.
"Are you gonna tell your mom?" Mal asked.
"How can I tell her," Evie asked, "I was wrong for trusting Zelena?!"
"She played you." Mal explained, "Like she played all of us. I'm sure Regina would understand."
"No, she won't." Evie sobs, "She hates me! I can't blame her, I've been nothing but an ungrateful brat ever since we got back!"
"Well, only one way to find out." Mal gestures towards Regina who was walking towards them. "Good luck." Mal smiled.
Evie turns the moment. Regina saw the expression on her daughter's face, Regina picked up the pace. "What's wrong?"
Evie looked away, "Zelena's helping the queen."
"Oh darling!" Regina hugged her daughter, "Are you alright?"
"I'm sorry," Evie cries, "for taking her side, for not believing you, and most of all I'm sorry for the way I've been acting."
"I'm sorry, for everything." Regina sighs. This was the first time in 35 years that she held her daughter.
"Madam Mayor," Ben waved, "father has been helping the evil queen to take you down." Ben then notices Evie, "What happened?"
"Let's just say that someone she trusted betrayed her." Mal said.
"What did Zelena do?!" Carlos demanded when he saw the look on Evie's face.
"Ok how did dog boy know?" Regina asked. "Dog boy" is the name that Regina uses to tease Carlos.
"He was the little brother of the group." Mal shrugged.
"What are you two doing here, anyway?!" Evie snaps, "Shouldn't you be working?!"
"Yes, but we saw you cry," Jay smiles, "what did she do?"
Regina grabbed Evie's hand and pulled her behind. Regina snarls at Zelena, "Get away from my daughter!"
Belle was walking the opposite street, as Rumple walked towards Ben. Belle jaywalked to prevent Rumple from getting to Ben.
Belle yells, "What do you think you're doing?!"
Zelena focuses her eyes on Evie, "I am so sorry, Evie."
Evie looked at her mother's protective grip on her wrist.
"Snow!" Regina called.
Mary Margaret turns, "Yes, Regina?"
"Take them to Granny's." Regina pleaded. She released Evie.
Mary Margaret held out her hand as Mal, Ben, Jay and, Carlos all went pass her and into the diner. Evie stayed frozen behind her mother.
Regina turns to her daughter, "Go Evie."
"No mom," Evie shook her head, "I'm not leaving you."
"Evangeline." Regina sighed. Evie knew that whenever Regina calls either of her children their whole names, she means business.
Just then Evie saw the Evil Queen charging behind Zelena with a fireball. Seeing the look of pure hatred on the queen's eyes, something didn't sit well with Evie; and with everyone wrapped up in their own battles the Evil Queen was free to do what she pleases. Evie ran past Snow and stood between her aunt and attacker.
The queen growls, "Get out off the way, Evie!"
"Um... I'm thinking," Evie smirks, "no. If you wanna kill her you've got to get through me first and we both know that you don't want to do that."
The queen put away the fireball and disappeared.
Regina, Snow and, Zelena looked at Evie with shock. Evie didn't see the looks instead she yells at the couple, "Can you, two, seize fire for a moment?"
Belle and Rumple both turn to face the girl.
Evie then pops her head in the diner, "M, Ben, Carlos, Henry and, Jay I need your help."
Mal, Ben, Jay, Carlos and, Henry all went out the diner.
"Now, that we are all out here," Evie sighs, "do you people think you're being good role models? Mom, you are ready to torch your sister."
"Mom, you're ready to give up on love," Ben stated, "when you always told me never to give up."
"And you have a daughter, now," Evie sighs, "do you want her to grow up hating the world?!"
Zelena knew that Evie was right but she didn't state her aunt's name. A sign that Evie is still angry.
Mal growls, "Grow up!"
