Regina looked up from her desk. "Mother!" she gasped, as Cora walks in.
"Hello darling." Cora smiles at her daughter.
Zelena enters holding a stack of papers. "Regina, you really need to..." her voice faded as she saw her mother.
"Zelena, my darling." Cora smiled.
Zelena dropped the papers in shock. Regina walked towards Cora, "Is that really you?"
"Yes, Regina." Cora frowned at her younger daughter.
Regina hugs Cora. Zelena joined the hug.
Regina gasped, "How will I tell Evie?!"
Evie has lived with Cora for months. Five horrible months before Snow's wedding. Cora has treated Evie like she had treated Regina, horribly. Evie escaped covered with bruises to Snow and David's castle.
That afternoon before her daughter came home, Regina busied herself baking and cooking all of Evie's favorite dishes. While Cora and Zelena talked in the other room.
The door swung open, "Mother, we're home!" Evie announces, as she and Roland enters the house.
Roland runs to the kitchen following the scent of freshly baked oatmeal cookies. Evie sat on the counter, as Regina served the tray, "Here you go to my beautiful daughter."
Evie was about to take a bite when she realized and put the cookie back to the plate. "What's wrong?" she folded her arms and looked at her mother suspiciously.
"Can't I just bake for my wonderful daughter?" Regina smiles.
Evie wasn't buying it. "The first time you baked was the day you told me father died. Second time was when you chased Snow away. Third you sent me to live with Grandma. Fourth was the day you casted the damn curse. Fifth was Henry's adoption. Sixth was sending me to Canada." Evie recounted. "Now, you do the math?"
"Fine." Regina sighs, "Zelena, will you bring Robyn here?"
Zelena appears with Robyn, handing the baby to Evie, "Hold her."
Evie held her cousin, but she frowned, "Ok, will you tell me now?"
Regina looks at her sister, "Your grandmother's here."
Evie was in shock, "You're kidding right?"
"Afraid not, darling." Cora appears.
Evie closed her eyes, "This is a nightmare." She concluded, "Its just a nightmare, when I open my eyes, I'll be back in my room." Evie slowly opens her eyes. "Its not working!" She runs to the sink and splashes water to her face, "Wake up Evie!" She slaps her face, "Wake up!"
"Evie!" Regina grabs both hands of Evie, "This is real."
Evie drops her hands, "I'm going out!" and left.
"Evie!" Roland chases after her.
Evie turns, "Ro go back inside."
"No!" the boy stomps his feet, "Take me with you!"
Evie exasperated, she really cannot look at Cora. Evie picks the boy up and runs to Granny's.
Granny walked over to Evie and Roland. "What's the matter, Princess?"
Evie looked up, "Cora's back."
"Oh, you poor dears!" Granny said sympathetically, "Tell you what, you can stay in the inn for tonight no charge."
"Thanks Gran you're the best." Evie smiled faintly.
"Anytime." Granny smiled, and walked away.
Jay walks in with a panicked look on his face. "The car broke down." he claims.
"Jay," Evie calmly said as she approaches him, "calm down. I'll fix it."
"Thanks," Jay smiles, "E."
