Jay, Evie, and Roland walk towards the car. Engine was smoking, while Carlos and Ruby was looking under the hood.
"Can you fix her?" Jay asked, as he handed Evie a tool box.
Evie grabs the tool box and smiled, "Course." Turning to face Roland, "You should go in the diner."
"No, I can help." Roland protested.
"Fine." Evie checks the hood. "You've got a leak, engine's busted, and in desperate need of an oil change." she examines the hood, under the car, and everything else, "It would take me about three days to fix everything."
An hour later Evie was under the car listening to music and rewiring something, when Mary Margaret walked by with Henry. "What's the problem now?" Mary Margaret asked her sister.
Evie slid out from under the car, "Cora she's return." sliding back under the car.
"Move over." Mary Margaret sighs.
Evie scooted to one side. "Hey," she smiles.
"So how is it?" Mary Margaret asked.
"I been avoiding confronting her." Evie took out a silver thing and replaced it with a newer one.
Mary Margaret sighs, "You do know that you can't avoid her forever, right?"
"For three days I can." Evie states. "Then I'll just find way to avoid her on the third day."
Mary Margaret looked at her, "This isn't healthy, Evie."
Evie slid out ones more and stood up. "I know but it's just I can't face her." Wiping her hands with a paper towel, she went to grab the knew engine from her tool box.
Mary Margaret also came out under the hood, "Help me up?"
Evie help her older sister to her feet and went back to the engine.
Mary Margaret looked to her right and saw Cora, Zelena, and Regina walking towards them.
Cora looked at her granddaughter's dark blue dress covered with black oil.
Evie turns around to see her grandmother and mother shaking their heads in disapproval. "What?" she asked. Turning her attention to the car, "If you're here to tell me that fixing cars isn't what proper princesses do, then I guess I'm not a proper princess I'm me."
Regina sighs, "Evie..."
"No, mom, you have no idea what I endured in those months." Evie removed the engine and placed it to the side, "I was treated like a servant!" Replacing the old engine with the new one, "No worst than a servant, I was to cook, clean, and tend to the animals to top it off she expected me to be the perfect princess." She replaced the oil, "You have no idea, how much I wished to be treated as good as her servants, one mistake and its death. While I'm there being tormented, she kept me alive because she thought I was the next queen!" Slammed the hood closed, "And you know what's worse?"
Regina felt sick to her stomach. Hearing her daughter's tortured.
"I felt so alone!" Evie opens the driver's door, "I prayed every night that you'd show up to protect me, but you never did. Every night for those months, I prayed that you would come to your senses and stop obsessing over revenge, but you never did! Until one day I've finally came to my senses and figured out that you would never come, so I took a portal to Snow and David's castle and they did what you never could, they accepted who I was." Evie pressed the button, turning the engine on. Climbing out the car, she turned and saw everyone has stopped to watch her. She walked towards Jay, "All fixed."
Zelena had tears in her eyes, she used to imagine her niece getting everything she wanted.
Snow followed her sister in the diner. "Evie, I'm so sorry."
Evie blinked the tears away, "Don't apologize Snow, stop apologizing for something you didn't do. Stop making excuses for her."
"I'm not." Mary Margaret shook her head, "Fixing a car is a lot more difficult than fixing a relationship."
Evie looks confused.
"Think about it." Mary Margaret sighs, then walks away.
