Mal's POV

I spent the next two weeks in the hospital. I haven't seen my mother since that day.

Little did I know that she was on her way.

So anyways, I was talking to E on face time. "She won't."

"Of course, she will." E argued. I then heard a crash, "Hold that thought." she got up and I heard her scolding her cousin and Roland. "Sorry M, I need to go."

I chuckled as I put my phone down beside me.

"Mal?" it was Lily, "You have a visitor."

I sat up as I saw my mother enter, "Mom, what are you doing here?"

She drops her coat on the chair, "I came to apologize."

I straightened up and asked with wide eyes, "You did?"

"Yes," she walked towards me, "I wasn't a good mother to you because i was too hurt by Lily's disappearance that I hadn't thought about you." Sitting down, "I'm sorry, Mal."

I looked at her eyes and saw the sincereness. "Oh great!" I exasperated.

"Mal!" Lily scolded.

"Will you let me finish?" I glared at my sister. Then looked at my mother, "As I was saying, that's just great… how do you expect me to stay mad at you when you look like that?!" Mom grins. "You are so unfair!" I scoffed.

Mom embraces me, "I love you, Mal."

I smirked, "Can you do me a favor?"

"Of course, anything." Mom said.

I grinned, "Change my middle name!"

The door opens once more and a haggard Evie comes in.

"So I'm guessing its babies one and princess zero?" I teased.

E glares and retorts, "So Ben Gold, huh?"

Mom looked between me and E before looking at Lily and asking, "Gold? As in Rumplestilskin's son, Ben Gold?"

I glared at E, "Any reason why you're here?"

E hands me an envelope, "We are having a boat party for all of us… Auradon graduates…"

"A bit late isn't it?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Mom's idea." she sighs.

"Oh." I nodded, "When is it?"

"Next week, Sunday."
