Jay's POV
After the mayor got out of the car, I turned to see Evie still sitting in the backseat, "Hey, we're here."
She looked up and sighed sadly, "Oh."
"Ugh, Ms. Regina!" I called, "I'm going to take Evie to Mal's."
"Alright," she smiles, "just be careful."
Evie sighs, "We will."
At Mal and Lili's room, Evie poured her heart out to Mal, which made Carlos and I feel very uncomfortable.
"I just can't..." Evie cried, "look at her without being sick to my stomach!"
"E," Mal coos, "she's your mother. You have to forgive her."
"I can't it hurts to much!" Evie sobs.
My phone started ringing, I frowned at the name on my phone, Zelena Mills. "Hey, guys," I sighed, "I've got a costumer, I'll be right back. Carlos come with me."
Carlos and I walked out the door, "Jay! What is it?"
"Its Zelena," I sighed, "she wants to know how Evie is."
"Evie's very lucky," Carlos smiles, "isn't she?"
"I wouldn't call it luck." I nod, "No, she's fortunate to have a family that care about her."
We and by we I mean Carlos, Mal, and I are jealous of Evie. She has something that we don't: a family that cares about her and she waste it because of her damn pride. Just like her mother, Evie fails to understand that not everything revolves around her and like her aunt once the princess doesn't get what she wants she throws a fit. She gets so jealous of her brother, Henry because he gets the attention, when she got the whole kingdoms attention for 16 years.
So anyways, Carlos and I picked up Zelena and Robyn. Carlos sat in the passenger seat, beside me.
"How is Evie?" Zelena asked for the tenth time.
"For the 100th time," Carlos was now frustrated, "she's angry at everyone and everything!"
The rest of the trip was eerie awkward silence.
As the car came to a stop in front of the inn, Zelena removed her seatbelt and rushed out of the car. Carrying her daughter, Zelena ran up five flights of stairs and finally we caught up with her, she was already three steps away from Mal's room.
I unlocked the door, and Zelena rushed in to hug Evie.
Evie looked absolutely stunned, "What are you doing here?"
"Are you alright?" Zelena ignores the question.
"Peachy." Evie replies, "I broke up with my boyfriend because of a stupid misunderstanding and I just rescued my mom who by the way is the reason for the misunderstanding. Pirates are roaming the streets of the town. And as if that wasn't enough, the guy who I was supposed to marry is the one leading the pirate invasion!"
"I've been through worst." Zelena looks down.
This sparked my curiosity, as well as Mal's.
Evie, however, was not at all amused, "Somehow, I don't think your sister rivalry with my mom and my issues with her isn't the same."
"Ok," Zelena takes Evie's hands, "I'm about to say something really embarrassing and I don't want any laughter ok?"
Evie nods.
Zelena took a deep breath and uttered, "I was in love with Hades."
Carlos dropped his phone in surprised.
"You're what?!" I asked, hoping I misheard it.
Zelena glared at me, "In love with the god of the underworld."
Evie burst into laughter, "And you make fun of me cause I dated Doug!" Wiping a her tears, "You fell for a dead guy, who isn't dead! Oh this is the best news ever!"
Zelena rolls her eyes, "Feel better?"
Evie nods. "Ok good." Zelena smacks Evie's arm hard.
Evie winced, "What was that for?!"
"I said, no laughing." Zelena frowns.
"Now, I'm not only the blueberry princess," Evie rubs the bruise on her arm, "thanks to you I'm now the black and blueberry princess."
"You still blue?" Zelena asked.
"That would be the nickname I gave her." Mal explained.
"Oh ok." Zelena sighs.
