Evie was sitting next to her window admiring the pinkish, yellow sky. Her aunt had gave up her power to stop the Black Fairy from whatever she planned to do. It was 5:45 am, Evie hadn't slept a wink she tossed and turned for five hours till finally giving up at around, twoish.
People would look at Evie and think she has no problem at all. Being the only daughter of Regina, having a great boyfriend, and everything. But they'd be wrong, Evie was grateful for everything she has but she worries. If Fiona wins she'd loose everything.
Evie wasn't materialistic, not really, she doesn't care for riches, she was scared of loosing her family.
Watching the sunrise, always gave Evie hope. Her father, King Leopold, (Yes, she's a true princess) had always said that like every sunrise brings new light to the world every action brings new hope. Evie loved her father when the king died, Snow left and, Evie found out that Regina was the one who killed Leopold, Evie was distraught. On one hand, Regina did kill the king, on the other, she's still the only one Evie has left.
"Hey." a familiar voice said, "can't sleep?"
Evie turns to see it was Zelena. "No," Evie shook her head.
Zelena walked towards her niece, "What's on your mind?"
"Sh-" Evie stopped herself and continued, "tuff."
Zelena smirked clearly amused, "What sort of 'shtuff'?"
"When all these is over," Evie let out a shaky breath, "will you go back to Oz?"
Zelena bit her lip, "Evie,"
"Will you?"
"Yes, I imagine, I would, Oz is my home."
"'Home is where family is.' I was taught that at a very young age," Evie looked back outside the window, "but what if family is scattered?"
"What do you mean?" Zelena asked.
"This family we don't all belong in the enchanted forest," Evie stands up.
"Hey! Evie!" Zelena coos, "I can move to the Enchanted Forest."
"No!" Evie snaps, "I can't let you sacrifice your home!"
"Somebody, very wise and beautiful once told me," Zelena clutches Evie's shoulders, "Home is where family is. It just occurred to me that I don't have family in Oz."
Evie looked up at her aunt. Evie crossed her arms, Zelena pulled her niece into a hug. "I can't keep Robyn away from her favorite cousin."
"E, you home?!" Mal called from down stairs.
"E?" Mal opens the bedroom door.
"M, what's up?" Evie asked.
"Ben just asked to..." Mal couldn't bring it to herself to complete the sentence.
"Marry him?" Evie suggested.
Mal simply shook her head.
Zelena guessed, "Sleep with him?"
"What?!" Mal looked at her as if to say, Really? "No! To talk."
Both Evie and Zelena burst out laughing.
"I'm serious!" Mal frustrated, "I have nothing to wear!"
Evie took a deep breath, "Right, sorry." glaring at her aunt, "Its not funny."
Zelena stopped laughing.
"We got this." Evie smirked. "Pantsuit?" Evie suggested. Earning a glare from her aunt, Evie shook her head, "A purple sundress, then?"
"I, also need a ride." Mal sighs.
"Where?" Zelena asked.
"Granny's." Mal replies.
"No," Zelena shook her head, "no, Regina specifically said, not to go to Granny's today."
Jay and Carlos both came in. "You can always let me drive your car." Jay winked.
A few moments later, all five of them were in the car. Robyn was in her car seat in between Carlos and Jay in the backseat. While Evie and Mal were in the front. Evie sat between Zelena and Mal.
Evie keeps hitting the imaginary break. "Turn left! Turn left!" Evie shouted terrified, "Easy, easy, easy now."
Zelena accidentally steps on the break. "Bloody hell!" she exclaims in frustration.
"Everyone ok?" Evie asked, "You need to relax, Aunty. Driving is easy. Just keep your foot on the gas and hands in ten and two. Gas is on the right and when your turning use signal lights."
"I love you, Evie, but I don't drive, confidently." Zelena admits.
"Here!" Evie gave Mal the ring, "Walk."
"Finally!" Mal exited the car, and ran a mile towards the diner.
In the car, Evie and Zelena were doing a lot of hand gestures without sounds. Jay and Carlos just watched in amusement, their friend resembled her aunt. "Uh... guys," Carlos interrupted, "straight ahead."
Zelena and Evie looked up and saw Fiona was about to kill Regina.
Evie gripped her seatbelt in fear, as the car sped up towards the fight. It took about two seconds to hear a thud and Evie saw the black fairy roll over the car. They had hit her.
As the black fairy rolled off the car, Zelena opened her window and peaked her head out, "Miss me?"
Evie couldn't help but laugh at the experience.
As soon as the black fairy disappeared, Zelena exited the car and said, "This driving thing is easy when you're actually trying to hit something."
Regina stares at the car, "Alright, everyone out!"
Evie climbed out the car laughing, "That's what I call bad ass wicked driving."
To everyone's surprise, Robyn started giggling, as well.
Regina hugs her daughter then turned to her sister, "You had one job and you completely did the opposite... thank you."
Jay was holding Robyn in his arms, he smirked, "I sure hope this one doesn't turn into you."
Evie snaps, "What?!"
"You, two, were doing this," Carlos started imitating the hand gestures of Evie and Zelena, "in the car."
"Did not!" Evie and Zelena exclaimed in unisons.
"No doubt that they're related." Jay chuckled.
