It was the end of the day when I saw her. I caught her just as she was about to leave.

" Kari," I yelled.

I was very surprised when she turned around.

" Yes ." She said looking up at me from her phone.

" I was huh wondering if huh you wanted to like to hang out sometime? I guess." I said stumbling on my words.

She makes me so nervous I wanted to pee on my self.

" Don as sweet and brave you are to come to me and ask me this. I'm gonna have to decline. We can never be anything more than friends. I'm really sorry." She said.

"Why? Is it because I'm not popular. I'm sorry I can't change my status but why can't you just give me a chance." I screamed.

Everyone in the hallway stopped and stared at us.

" Listen to me, Don. I know more about you then you think. This is NOT GONNA HAPPEN. Now leave me alone." She yelled.

With that, she left me standing there looking stupid.

I walked out the building to my uncle's car.

" Wassup nephew." He said.

" Unc I'm not in the mood right now. The only girl I've ever loved just rejected me in front of the whole school." I said ready to cry.

" There's other fish in the sea." He said.

" The only fish I want is Kari Chanel Brewster," I said with my head down.

" I see. Well, nephew let me help you get your fish." Uncle Calvin said with a smile on his face.
