I looked down at the crashing waves. The beauty of the waves took my breath away...
Why would I do something so reckless? I asked myself. Why hadn't I remembered the promise before almost jumping off of the ledge?? ...I-I could've hurt so many lives if I did that....

The voices faded away. The ringing noise silenced. I was hit with reality and realization.

I looked off onto the distance. I had to apologize to them. I heard footsteps come my way.... I knew who it was.

"...Shadow?" Asked a weak, sniffy Looka. She had been crying but she calmed down.

I turned around, not showing my face. At the correct moment, I lifted up my face to her, and smiled with hope. "Let's go home, Looka." I said through tears.

She looked at me with a glint in her eyes, and smiled herself. She wiped her tears with her paw, and with that, we both walked home together.

We both enjoyed each other's company while walking... I had a deeper sense of connection with Looka now...

"I'm sorry-" Looka started, but I cut her off.

I faced her and looked her in the eyes. She shouldn't be apologizing, for I was the one who started this... Not her.

"No, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for yelling at you, and I'm sorry you had to see me like that. I'm sorry you had to see me at my worst- At my breaking point. You shouldn't of had to see that..."

"But seeing each other at our breaking points is what makes us friends... We're supposed to be there for each other in times of need. We need to see each other's breaking point, because if we don't, then we aren't truly friends. If friends don't see both sides of a person, then they are always trapped in a beautiful lie..." Looka explained.
