My eyes widened and my jaw dropped...
All this time...
That was the key?
I could've prevented all of this?
There was no lesson, no purpose to all of this? What the actual heck was he doing?

The monster inched closer...
At the rate the monster was going, we would all be goners for sure...

I took a deep breath in and I sighed...
"Fine, I trust you..." I spoke.
The others gasped and widened their eyes at my response...

The voice only laughed, "Ha! I know you all too well. You can't trust anyone... That's fake trust."

And with that, the voice was gone...
But the monster had reached us...
And, to be honest, the voice was right.

I really couldn't trust anyone.
No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't...
And that was that for the time being...

I looked up at the monster and I then realized... Wait, how can I feel the fear in my enemies' eyes if it has none?
Oh yes, that's right. This monster or creature had no eyes...

My friends and I did not quiver nor bow, we stood tall and high with our heads up. Whatever my friends were put through, it made them stronger, braver and ready to face anything.
We were ready to face anything..

They all looked to me and they smiled, then looked back to the monster.

The monster was a beast-like creature.
It was taller and bigger than all of us combined. It was almost like a lion. It had a brown mane that was huge and fluffy...
It had white spikes all over it's body and it had red horns on top of it's head.

It had a big mouth that looked like an abyss. Within the mouth, there were sharp fangs...

The head was pink with patches of red splattered everywhere with blood. The rest of the body was light black with red patches. And finally, the creature had claws that could swipe and knock us all to the ground.
