He had caused all of the poison in the world.
He brought this world into a disaster.
He let the humans in.
He made not only me, but my friends suffer. I simply cannot forgive that... You've crossed the line, buddy. My right eye turned yellow. Before I knew it, my unknown power was back. The yellow had radiated throughout the room... I ran at Dereik, but once I had reached him he had teleported away.
"Two can play that game," I had learned a thing or two from Eclipse. I teleported right to Dereik, but I wasn't fast enough. It was like a teleporting game. Finally, I had leaped up on Dereik and brown him down. He only smiled with acid running down his chin.
I was caught off guard, Dereik had teleported off. The chase was on. My friends had even joined in...
Ethereal was our protection. If we were caught off guard, he was our shield - as Ethereal had a shield.
Herme and Hearth had swords, Pine had a knife and so did Mars. The rest of us had to rely on our physical/magical abilities.
Knives, swords, and even blasts of magic were being thrown everywhere. It was no good, he was too fast for us...
Unless..."Use the Elements of Friendship!!" I just about shouted. Everyone dropped what they were doing, got in position, and before we knew it we were in the air...
My eyes were closed, as they had turned white.
In an instance, everything can change.
My eyes opened, and I stared at my target. All of the power from each one of us drained out and poured out onto Dereik. Dereik looked feared...
Dereik had fallen to the ground.
Had we won?We sighed in relief as Dereik was down... We wouldn't have to wor-
Dereik wobbled, but he stood back up.
Not yet.
We hadn't won yet.
My eyes were widened....
We had lost?
All of our power was drained, poured out onto that last hit...
This was it? Would we just be killed? No. I couldn't let that happen.
We were dropped to the ground from lost of power...
I don't know how, but I stood back up. I felt like collapsing, but I couldn't.
I had too much will-power."Shadow, no-" Ethereal tried to stop me, but I couldn't let him.
"I have to do this. I have to sacrifice myself." I knew if I did this, I would surely be killed. But my friends had to live, if I did this, the promise would be fulfilled too.
"Then we're coming with you," Blackout tried to stand, but he fell back down.
"Stay out of this! This is my battle, not yours... Just... Let me do this for you."
The truth is, you can't help everyone.
And that shatters me everytime.
But I'll try anyway, because that's who I am.
