My heart sunk down low... It almost bursted open when my sister had spoken about mother or father. She didn't know, did she? She was always out on work trips, and she only got back now...
She had no idea...She was in such high spirits, I couldn't bring her down... But the truth... She needed the truth. If she didn't have the truth, then she could never heal.
My eyes were like water leaks as I stared at the ground. I made not a sound, the tears just fell down in silence.
"Shadow?" My sister tried, but I immediately stopped her. I looked up at my sister and without hesitation, the truth came from the heart.
"Sister, mother and father are dead." A cold breeze blew over my fur, my sister was left there standing in silence. I could hear her silently breaking and falling apart as she heard the news...
Her eyes widened, she put her hoof on her heart and she collapsed. She bursted into tears like a kitchen sink...
"I didn't even get to say goodbye... I was gone... I was so stupid..." Her eyes shot from side to side, and then she looked up at Wolfie who only gave her a sad shake of his head. The Golden Wolf's Prophecy:
Shadow, I'm so sorry.
I'm sorry I couldn't stop the murder of your parents and I'm sorry I couldn't prevent your sister from breaking in two. I didn't get there in time; you were the only one left, I had to save you.
I'm sorry.....
"Sister," I tried to plant a hoof on her shoulder, but she only forcefully pushed it away. I had never seen her do that before, not until now anyway.
"No! I could've stopped this! If I was only there..." She cried out.
