Dumbledore read over the letter for the fifth time. He was rather confused as to why Beatrice Florence was taking her daughter out of the school. Did Belle have a clue as to why? He didn't know. He had received the letter two days prior but did nothing that the letter asked. he had grown aware of her new friendship with Fred and George Weasley and Lee Jordan but also Luna Lovegood. He was rather happy to hear of this and hated he fact that she was set to leave now. He knew he couldn't stretch her time staying at Hogwarts any longer, her mother would probably send another letter if she did not leave today. "Phineas." He said a to a painting, "Can you go to Fillius for me please and tell him to report to my office immediately." The painting nodded and travelled throughout other portraits soon returning. Not long after the short Professor joined Dumbledore in his office.
"Good Day, Albus?" He greeted.
"Yes quite, however, I have received this letter, you may want to take a look." He handed the man the paper and waited for a reply.
Flitwick looked up, "Good heavens. I had a feeling this would happpen but if I am honest I thought it would happen sooner. Miss Florence dislikes magic, and now has decided to take it away from her daughter."
"Yes, well we should take her up on her wish." Dumbeldore nodded. "However, at Christmas I shall visit them and see if Belle is coming back, I highly doubt if I visit she will disagree."
"Ooh yes, Albus. I best go and alert Miss Florence so she can get her things together and bid her new friends goodbye It's rather sad seeing as she has only just begun to socilaise isn't it."
"Quite."
"Ah well, I shall see you soon Albus."Flitwick waved as he exited the office. He located the girl rather quickly, she was sat studying in the common room with Luna. "Belle, I am afraid you need to collect your belongings, you are going home."
"Pardon? Why might I ask?" She stood up.
"Your mother has requested, Belle."
"I am coming back, right?"
"In the letter it said you shan't, I am sorry Miss Florence, it will not be the same without you, my dear."
Belle gasped, "But Professor, I can't not be at Hogwarts!"
He looked at her solemnly, "I'm sorry it's your mothers requests."
Belle nodded and bid goodbye to Luna before heading up to her dorm, Flitwick in tow to help her with her belongings. He summoned a house elf to help aswell. "Hello Mr. Flitwick, how must Dobby assist?"
"Can you help take Miss Florence's belongings to Professor Dumbledore's office, please?"
"Of course Mr. Flitwick, Dobby is a free elf, but is being paid to help and loves to help. Right away sir." The small elf nodded before clicking his fingers and her trunk had disappeared with him. belle took one last look at her dormitory that she kept to herself before following Flitwick from the room. Once in the common room she took her last look at this room, she was going to miss it and the rest of the school.
"I shall miss you, Belle Florence. Thank you for being my first friend." Luna smiled, bringing the girl into a small hug.
"As will I Luna Lovegood." She took her small broach from her robes that had a star on it, "Have this."
"I can't take this." Luna pushed her hand back.
"Yes you can, you were my first friend, and friends give each other gifts do they not?"
"I guess they do." Luna smiled and let Belle pin the broach onto her robes. "Have this then." She clasped her charm that kept nargals away around her neck. "I have two, they can be a sort of friendship token, right?"
