Belle was given potions to try and cease Enoch's pestering voice from her head. However, the down side to the potions was that they made her very drowsy and Fred was forever having to wipe the drool from his shoulder. Since his and Belle's talk he had made sure he was keeping an eye on her and spending time with her.

One particular afternoon just after Harley had returned to Egypt and Bill was at work, Charlie and Nancy we're off in the city for the day, Belle had fallen asleep and Sirius offered to take her up to bed; he did so.

It was now just Remus and Fred alone in the dining room. They were silent, Fred still didn't feel at all comfortable with being alone with his girlfriend's father even if he had been his teacher previously.

Remus sat with his arms crossed leaning on the table. He had been away for a couple of days on Dumbledore's orders and returned to find his daughter asleep, revising or eating. Now alone with her boyfriend he stared at the boy who shifted uncomfortably in his seat.

"I know I'm irresistible but please don't stare. It won't work out. I'm in love with your daughter." Stated Fred running a ah d through his hair.

Remus' eyes widened, ignoring the majority of Fred's comment. "You're in love with her? As in love? Proper love?"

"Yes, sir," nodded Fred, his cheeks reddening, "I love her to death and I don't think I could feel any other way about her."

"You're so young." Whispered Remus, his heartbeat quickening. "You're both seventeen."

"And so were you when you had Belle if I recall. I'm not going to get her pregnant if that's what you're scared of. I want her to have the best possible future she can and I won't jeopardise that." Fred told Remus, his fingers tapping on the table out of nerves. Despite seeming as if he was approved of, Fred still worried about Remus' thoughts on him. After all, Belle meant everything to him and he didn't want to come between her and her dad.

"You think a child would jeopardise her future?" Remus questioned puzzled. His eyebrows had knitted together and fine lines on his forehead had wrinkled as he sat up straighter, his tired eyes watching Fred carefully. The way that Fred was acting and the look in his eye was something he hadn't seen in the boy before but he had seen it previously. It was the same look Remus had seen in Sirius' eyes just after they had left Hogwarts as he regarded Madison. Both boys looking vulnerable at that time.

Fred looked up at Remus momentarily before returning his eyes back to the table. "Yes," he muttered and cleared his throat. "I can see how much she is struggling with her N.E.W.Ts and if I'm honest, from how she is now I can't see a career being easy for her. The world only care about grades now, not the person, just a number or a letter on a page. They seem to define us now, they dominate any personality or work ethic we have. And without a job she would not be able to provide for the child. Yes, I would do everything I could but you know how she is. She doesn't like to be given things because she sees it as charity even though it is far from it. Plus, I don't think I'm ready to be a  father yet."

"Why do you think that?"

Fred chuckled and pointed at himself, "I'm hardly mature enough am I? I'm hardly perfect-father material. I can see it in your eyes that you don't like me. So why would you want em to be the father to any of your potential grandchildren?"

Remus shook his head. "I don't not like you, Fred. I care about my daughter as she is my pride and joy. Yes, I didn't want her with you at first because I was submissive to prejudgment. After everything you have done with Belle, for Belle, I see you in a different light; a new, caring and genuine man with a heart for fun and love. You remind me so much of Sirius and James. And I could never hate or dislike them no matter how annoying they were and how annoying Sirius still can be. Fred, as long you make Belle happy, I couldn't hate you at all."

Fred sniffled and pretended to wipe a tear, "that means so much, imma call you papa rem-rem now. My second father."

"Don't push it." Remus rolled his eyes flicking a tissue at Fred who threw it back at him. "Oh you're on, gingey!" The two were throwing tissues and paper back and forth laughing and cracking jokes and from the door to the dining room Madison and Sirius leaned against the fram watching it all unfold.

Madison leaned her head on Sirius' shoulder, "what is it with Moony and throwing paper with gingers? First Lils, now Fred." She chuckled.

The man laughed softly, "I think, my love, this is Moony giving him his blessing." Sirius smiled. "Either that or a coffin is needed for the poor boy."

Madison snuggled closer to Sirius, "I hope it's the first one."

"So do I. He's good for Belle."

"Damn right my son is," Said a voice from behind them. Molly stood there with her hands on her hips before pushing through the gap left in the doorway and entering the kitchen. "Look at this mess! Honestly, you'd think you two believe we have someone to clean up after us!"

"Actually Molly," smirked Sirius stepping forward, "we do. His name is Kreacher. About yay high and boney with a terrible attitude. Would probably remind you of my mother."

Molly rolled her eyes at the man. "Will you even grow up?"

"Not if I can help it."
