Fred found Belle in the library with Hermione a week later and watched from afar, his head poking through a bookcase. He watched as Belle scrunched her nose up and her eyebrows knit together in confusion when she didn't understand what Hemrioenwas helping her with. He watched her as she groaned her placed her head in her hands when she really couldn't make sense of any of the work and he watched how Hermione basically spelt out each word to Belle but the girl still didn't understand.
After a further half an hour, Hermione left with Ron and Harry, who had come to find her, and Belle let her whole body slump in the seat.
Fred rounded the bookshelf and approached Belle to see her blinking away tears. He snaked his arms around her shoulders and kissed her cheek, "evening gorgeous," He whispered in a soft, gentle voice. Belle drooped in his arms as Fred moved so that he was in front of her, his arms still around her. "What's wrong, Bella?"
Belle's chapped lips quivered as tears welled up in her eyes, her blue eye iris' become brighter and shinier from them. "I'm never going to get it, am I?"
Fred pulled her into his chest and rubbed her back, "Bella, you do not need grades. They are just letters that brand a person when they needn't too. You shouldn't stress yourself out by them you can only do what you can do, there is no use tiring yourself out because if you do, it could lead to a mental breakdown and I don't want that."
"I know, Fred, I really do but it's not that simple!"
"How isn't it? belle, just stop with this tutoring malarky and just relax and have some fun with me and Georgie. It's clearly not helping to have Hermione regurgitate textbooks at you. C'mon, how about I take you on a date?"
Belle pulled away from Fred and cocked her head to the side, "It's eight o'clock on a Wednesday. What exactly are we going to do?"
Fred smirked and took her hands, pulling her onto her feet and slinging her bag over his own shoulder, "Well there are at least ten broom cupboards in this school, so you can take your pick and we can have some fun." He suggested.
Belle stared at him in concern, it was clear she didn't want any of what he was offering. As much as Fred was kidding, he wanted it as well but he wasn't going to force Belle so (dumbfounded discretely), he laughed it off and dragged her from the library and towards the kitchens.
"How about some brownies?" Fred asked Belle once she sighed in relief after not entering any broom cupboards.
Belle cracked a grin and nodded. Fred asked a house-elf for some brownies and pulled Belle onto her lap. He peppered her neck with kisses and felt her tense body relax and melt into his body.
"Feeling better?"
Belle couldn't speak afraid of what she would let slip, instead, she nodded her head and Fred stopped what he was doing.
"Good, because that will be six sickles please."
Belle shifter her body so that she was looking at Fred with 'the look'. "Really?"
"Your man needs to earn somehow baby, so I can buy you pretty things."
Belle rolled her eyes and flicked his forehead, "I don't need nor want pretty things, I just want cuddles which are free."
Fred smiled, "That's what I like to hear, cuddles are the best! If you want more tonight, you should sleep over again." He snuggled his head into her shoulder making her giggle.
She pouted, "But you steal the duvet!"
As a house-elf placed a plate of hot brownies on the table she turned to Belle and said, "Nully can get Miss Lupin another duvet if Miss wants."
"See, there you go, thank you Nully that would be great," Fred exclaimed for Belle and Nully nodded vanishing. Belle sat amazed which kind of puzzled Fred, "Bella?"
"She called me, Miss Lupin. Not Miss Florence." Belle grinned looking down at her hands.
"And how did that feel?"
She breathed out a sigh of content, "Amazing! I don't know why it just felt right, like great!"
"Will you chnage your name to Lupin then?"
Belle shrugged, "I dunno, it felt nice but I still kind of like the name Florence."
"Double barrel it?" Suggested Fred tucking into a brownie, "Oooh! It's gooey!"
"Belle Florence-Lupin... Belle Lupin-Florence..." Belle said aloud to hear what it sounded like. "Belle Lupin...Belle Florence...Belle -".
"Weasley."
Belle choked on the brownie she hadn't even picked up, her eyes were bulging as she stared at Fred who munched on his brownie without a care in the world. He looked up in confusion to see her the way she was. "What? It's just a suggestion, you could change it to mine, I doubt mum would mind, nor dad, they'd probably love you doing so."
Belle shook her head, "Give me a heart attack why don't you!"
"Why would I - oh! I wasn't proposing, don't worry, love, you'll have to put up with me for longer for that to happen. Unless you want it now, because I will marry you, I can think of far worse people to marry. Like Filch, or Mad-eye, or Ron, that's just gross I pity the sod who marries him, a troll -"
"Gee, thanks, Freddie, feeling the love."
"You know I'm kidding you're my fourth favourite lady." Fred told her, "Behind my mum, then Ginny, then Minnie, she's a top-notch geezer, then it's you my baby, my love and my Bella." To soften what he had said he stole a kiss from her. "And I will always love you."
Thump!
Fred gasped as he peered down at Belle who was on the floor in a heap - passed out.
"What did I do?"
Five..
Four...
Three...
Two...
One...
"Ohhhh! I do love her, why did she faint?" He mumbled to himself and debated what to do.
Dobby, Harry's special elf friend joined Fred by Belle.
"Mister Weasley. Is she okay?" Asked Dobby.
Fred shrugged, "I believe so. I'm just gonna...", He lifted her up bridal style, "take her to bed...um, Dobby can you get those brownies to my bedside table, please, she hasn't had one yet."
"Certainly, sir." With a click of his fingers, the elf and the brownies were gone and Fred was left to get him and Belle back to his dormitory.
"What I do for you Bella, and you repay me by giving me an extra workout! You definitely will need to pay me six sickles now!"
