It had been a month since Belle had ran out of the defence against the dark arts lesson. She didn't really speak to anyone anymore, not even the twins and Lee. She didn't do it on purpose, she just didn't see the need to. The name calling and rumours had started up again, only worse and even teachers did nothing to stop it. The only one shutting people down seemed to be Professor Parker, not even Lupin did anything.
Belle wasn't sleeping much either, she was too busy studying for her owls and it felt quite similar to how it was before she stated her after lesson tutoring from her father before Christmas. Bags had formed under her eyes and her hair was sling up into a messy pony tail, barely being washed as she couldn't find the time, a quick shower, no time for hair washing. A text book was constantly clutched to her chest, when people tried talking to her she simply brushed past them or didn't reply. She didn't want any distractions to her learning as her O.W.Ls were only a few months away and she had been neglecting her studies.
Fred didn't know what was going on. At first he thought it was just him until he saw her brush off Lee and George and Enoch. It relieved him but only a small bit. He yearned to know what was wrong with her, he knew it probably had something to do with the DADA lesson and the excessive name-calling and rumours. He had snapped at people he had heard saying things, including Wood and even Ginny was having a go at people.
"Just talk to her!" Ginny yelled at Fred one evenin, also chucking a cushion from the sofas at him.
"I can't! She's avoiding everyone!" Feed retorted.
Ginny rolled her eyes, "honestly this is why Bill and Charlie are my favourite brothers, the rest of you are thick as shit and Percy has his wand so far stuck up his arse when he burps sparks emits from his mouth! Make her talk to you! Corner her! Merlin, Fred!" Fred ran a hand through his hair, which was messy and slightly damp from his after quidditch practise shower. He groaned and smacked his head on the table repeatedly. "Yes, keep hitting your head! Maybe you'll knock some sense into that non-existing brain of yours!"
Fred flipped his sister off and stormed out of the common room pushing past Ron, Harry and Hermione. "Whats 'is problem?" Ron asked Ginny.
"Belle."
Ron and Hermione nodded in understanding but Harry looked confused. "Time to explain." Hermione sighed.

Fred roamed the corridors it was in times like this that he regretted giving Harry the Marauder's Map. He asked a few people who just snorted and muttered things along the lines of "brainless Belle" of "why would I see that prisoner fucker?" It led Fred to the Ravenclaw common room anyhow.
Glancing at the riddle he pondered before looking at the knocker and saying the answer, the riddle being quite amateur. He entered the common room nervously, which was rather unnatural for him but he couldn't help it. Many Ravenclaws eyes him curiously until Roger Davies spoke up. "Why are you here?"
"Florence, Belle, where is she?" Fred asked running his fingers over his neck.
Roger furrowed his brows, "Her dorm. At least that's where she was heading earlier. Cho, can you go tell her she has a visitor please, I would but the stairs..."
The boys' friend nodded and ran up the stairs returning moments later. "She said she is busy studying."
Fred rolled his eyes and went towards the stairs climbing them until he reached the girls stairs. "BELLE GET YOUR ARSE OUT HERE NOW!" He yelled cupping his mouth. He waited for a while before she finally emerged still looking rough as shit. "Finally! We need to talk."
Belle nodded sluggishly, slumping down the stairs and joining Fred who she followed out of the Ravenclaw tower and to a deserted corridor on the fifth floor. They took a seat by a window, sitting in silence. Belle played with her fingers until Fred grabbed a hold of her wrists bringing her to look at him. "Answer me truthfully, are you okay?" She was silent still, looking down again until Fred hooked a finger under her chin and pushed it up. "Please."
She shook her head and instead of saying anything Fred pulled her into a hug. He tightened his grip as she clung to him. "I-It's just too stressful." She cried. "Very thing is fucking me over Fred."
Fred closed his eyes, he couldn't imagine being in her shoes and having the year she was having. First the usual rumours and name-calling, then her mother, the children's home, her father-everything. "Listen to me."He said quietly so only she would be able to hear even though they were alone, "you come to me or Georgie or Lee, whenever you feel too stressed, we will help de-stress you. Whether it be with a prank, some wizard chess or even helping with your homework. Now we might not be the best at school work but we will try our damn hardest to help you. As for everyone else, I know it's hard to ignore everyone but you have to try. I will sit up anyone I hear, and I have been, so has Georgie and Lee, Ginny has as well." He rubbed her back soothingly.
"It's not just that, but thanks." Belle replied moving her head so her cheek was resting on his shoulder facing his neck so she could look up at him.
"Galleon for you thoughts?" Fred asked as he saw her just sitting there, hugging him in mid thought.
"I just, uh, I dunno. Don't worry about it." She shook her head.
"Sure?" Belle nodded and cuddle closer to Fred. "I don't deserve you and the others as friends." She sighed. "You guys are too good to me."
Fred kissed her forehead not really registering what he had done until she glanced up at him confused. "What was that for?"
"I-uh-erm-I" Fred stuttered. "Hogsmeade me and you?"
"Like a date?"
"I guess."
Belle nodded, "Hogsmeade it is then."
