Fred woke up the next morning choking on Belle's hair but, nonetheless, loved the idea of waking up beside her. He would have a go at Lee later for what he had said to Belle about the whole not getting enough love situation but would enjoy the morning beforehand. He brushed her hair from his face and adjusted how he was laid so that her head was more on his chest rather than his shoulder.
Belle was still asleep, wrapped up tightly in a different blanket, which Fred recognised as Lee's spare and furrowed his eyebrows. Why did she have that? He looked down at himself and saw that he was wrapped up like a sausage roll in his blanket and that none was on Belle. Fred realised that he had been stealing all of the covers and wrapped his arms around Belle to keep her warm, despite the blanket she had around her anyway.
From the sensation of extra warmth, Belle stirred in her sleep, swallowing her and moving her head a little to snuggle back down into her pillow. Her pillow that wasn't an actual pillow but rather Fred's chest. Her eyes fluttered open and she stifled a small yawn her bright blue eyes now peering up at Fred who smiled down at her.
"Morning," He said, dragging out the 'n' sound.
"Good morning, Fred, " Replied Belle, who rubbed the sleep from the corner of her eyes and began to play with the few chest hairs Fred had. "One, two, three." She counted twiddling them, "Just enough for me to braid!"
"You will not!" Fred gasped and swatted her hands away, "I have more than three hairs, thank you very much!" He rubbed down the now twiddled hairs and took hold of her fingers linking them with his.
"Then you need to learn how to count." Belle sassed, finishing with a cute grin and a tilt of her head.
Fred gasped, "You're so mean. Get out!" He pushed her away. Belle stood up and took the blanket with her and headed over to George who was sat up with Lee both eating popcorn. Okay, where and when did they get popcorn? And for breakfast? Seriously, boys?
Belle hopped over to George and sat beside him, taking some popcorn and smirking at Fred. "See Freddie, even your girlfriend prefers me!" The boy jeered at his twin.
Belle giggled at the sight of Fred's offended face. "It's true," She said, "I always thought he was better."
Despite, George and Belle messing around, Fred didn't see it. He didn't realise they were joking and he grew angry. "Yeah, I suppose you still think Eric is better as well."
"Eric?" Asked Lee, "Who is this thespian by the name of Eric?"
Belle furrowed her eyebrows at Fred, "That bloody guy always smelling of blood. From the children's home for special kids! The one that fancied you or something!"
"You mean Enoch?" Asked Belle, her voice quiet and shocked. "I haven't spoken to him since he left! I never thought he was better than you! And it's a children's home for PECULIAR children. Fred, for crying out loud we've been over this!!" She sighed and got up from sitting beside George.
She handed back Lee his spare blanket, took her robes from the top of Fred's trunk and shuffled towards the door. "Belle? Where are you going?" Fred called jumping up. "I was joking! Like you and George were. It was just a joke!"
He went to place his hand on her shoulder but she spun around, "I don't think it was though, was it? Because if it was you would have continued the joke not bring Enoch into it."
"Why are you getting so defensive over him?" Fred asked.
From his bed Lee leaned towards George, "It's getting juicy!" He squealed and popped some more popcorn into his mouth.
"Shh!" Hiss George, "I'm trying to listen!"
Belle shot a look at the two boys and then saw that the other boys they share a dorm with were watching. "Ugh, I'm not doing this now." She said and pushed the door open.
Fred watched as Belle left and he picked up a random shirt from the floor, it looked like it belonged to Lee, but he couldn't care. He ran after Belle who had just made it into the common room, which was strangely empty and he grasped her wrist pulling her back.
"Ow!" She cried at his grip. "Get off me, Fred!"
"No, explain to me why you're getting all defensive over Eric!"
"Enoch! His name is Enoch! Gah! Fred just bloody leave it! He's my - he was- my friend!"
Fred sucked his teeth, shaking his head, "If he was your friend why hasn't he sent you a letter? Why did kiss you? That's not a friendship, Belle, he even tried to stop us being together!"
Belle rolled her eyes, "You would be just a defensive if I said crap about Angelina or Alicia! And as for the rets that was in the past! Fred, I thought we agreed to leave everything in the past and not care what people say or think? We agreed to stop arguing too!"
The boy sighed and nodded his head, "You're right. We did. I'm sorry." He pressed his forehead against his. "I'm just a jealous twat."
Belle smiled, "Yeah, you are."
"You're supposed to say, yeah, but you're my jealous twat, not just agree with me!"
Belle watched as his face contorted in all different ways as he ranted about her messing up such a cute moment but she soon grew bored and placed her fingers on her lips. "You annoying when you talk."
Fred took this as an open opportunity and kissed her, bringing his hand from her wrist and placing it on her waist and pulling her closer. When he pulled away he laughed, "I still get scared that your dad will pop up from nowhere and scream at me for both having my wand in my back pocket and kissing you. Like I have nightmares where he'll jump out from behind the sofa, or a pillar or even just walk out of the fire. Like he just appears."
"You're so weird. What's weirder is you dreaming about my dad. Do you fancy him or something? Am I not good enough?" Belle fake sobbed. "I'm not good enough for you? First, you stare at my cousin's bum when you were in Egypt and now you're moving onto my dad?!"
"Who told you?" Fred grumbled.
"Who do you think?" Belle sobbed still.
Through gritted teeth, Fred spat, "George!"
"No, it was Bill." She said. "Now, what's so good about Harley and my dad? What don't I have?"
"Blonde hair." George piped up from the top of the stairs where he and Lee still ate popcorn.
Belle shot him a look and turned back to Fred, "is it the hair?"
"No!" Fred cried, "I love your hair, Harley, your dad and I just have a good connection-"
"Merlin's tits Fred! that's gross!" Belle grimaced, "I didn't think you'd actually continue that."
A crash was heard and popcorn rained down on them and a flash of Lee was seen tumbling down the stairs as he laughed. George gripped the bannister laughing to himself at both his twin and Lee who laid sprawled on the floor gripping his sides as he laughed.
"Should we help?" Belle asked Fred.
"I think a kiss of life is needed." The boy replied. He pulled Belle in for another kiss, mumbling against her lips, "I didn't mean Lee. I meant me."
"You're a bunch of idiots." The group heard Ron grumble from beside George. "Ooh! Popcorn!"
