Lee Jordan had never moved so fast in his life. He quickly shunned the beautiful Hufflepuff girl away as he stared at the pear on the wall. Needless to say, the girl was not all that impressed and sauntered off in a strop, flicking her long hair over her shoulder, crossing her arms across her chest and storming down the corridor. Lee, on the other hand, was more focused on the laugh he had heard and where it had disappeared off to.
Tickling the pear, he waited for the door to appear and open for him to enter the kitchens. Loud bangs and crashes filled his ears and the hum of voices belonging to the house-elves irritated his ears. In front of him, reaching just above his knee cap stood one house-elve in a clean cloth wrapped around him like a toga, his big and round piercing green eyes staring up at him as a smile formed on his face. "Mr Jordan, how can Dobby help you?" He escaped, jumping ever so slightly.
Lee hushed him, bringing a finger up to his lip as he spied on his best friend's girlfriend from a hidden corner of the kitchen. Belle was sitting at a table, a cupcake in her hand as she carefully licked the frosting off of the top, letting it coat her tongue before swallowing it. Beside her sat a fellow Ravenclaw, one Lee was all too familiar with having to commentate his every move during a quidditch match; it was Jeremy Stretton.
Jeremy Stretton, the boy Lee had never seen interact with Belle at all and now all of a sudden they were eating cake together? Alone! And to top it off, Jeremy swiped his finger covered in the frosting across Belle's face. She squealed in shock and threw some cake at the boy in return which soon led to a mini food fight between the two. However, two cupcakes were very limiting. So much so it turned into a war of who could squash the splattered cake and frosting into each other's clothes and face, Jeremy's hands wandering all over Belle mushing the food into her robes and across her face.
"Get your hands off of her!" Lee bellowed, coming out of his hiding spot. His eyes drilled into Jeremy and his nostrils flared. Belle and Jeremy both froze in shock Jeremy's hand laid rested on Belle's cheek and hers on his chest as their heads snapped towards the boy. "Are you deaf or something, Stretton? I said, take your dirty hands off my best mate's girlfriend!"
Jeremy stepped away from Belle, his head dipping in embarrassment and his fingers scratching the back of his neck. Belle, on the other hand, moved towards Lee who edged away from her and closer to the door. "Lee-" She began but the boy stopped her shaking his head, his dreadlocks flying everywhere.
"I can't believe you, Belle, after everything Fred's done for you."
"You're jumping to conclusions, Lee," she said, "we're just fighting with cake!"
"Yeah? I'll let Fred be the judge of that." Lee marched out of the kitchens furious. Belle sent Jeremy an apologetic look and chased after Lee who, for a not so sporty guy, was very quick; like lightning.
"Lee! Lee wait!" Belle repeated herself over and over again even when she nearly crashed into Fred and George had been stopped by Lee in the middle of the corridor. She couldn't even finish her calling before Fred look at her sadly, a flash of anger garnishing his eyes. Lee had already managed to spit out everything he had witnessed before Belle had come to stop. "Freddie it's not-"
"Stretton had his hands on you?"
"We were having a food fight! Merlin's tit's Fred, you hug put your arms around Angelina, Alicia and Katie, we were literally spreading cake on each other."
"Kinky!"
"Shut up George!" Lee, Fred and Belle chorused.
Fred clenched his jaw and Belle had to stop herself from swooning during this predicament which is totally unnecessary courtesy of Lee Jordan's dramatics. Her eyes looked Fred up and down, as usual, he looked great but at that moment, with the fiery look in his eye, the tightened jaw and cocked right eyebrow, he seemed even more attractive.
Fred failed to try to conceal his smirk as he caught her checking him out. "I trust you," he said which made Lee and even George looked at him in bewilderment. Was this actually Fred? The guy who would not let anything go this easily. Especially when it came to Belle.
"You do?"
"Shut up, George!" Fred and Belle chorused, this time Lee remained silent (an unusual characteristic of the boys)
Fred pulled Belle into his arms, "duh, you're my future wife, of course, I'd trust you," he leaned his lips close to her ear, his breath tickling the side of her neck right by her sweet spot. "Plus, you can't keep your eyes off of me, that's a giveaway that you find me irresistible and wouldn't give that tosser the time of day in the boyfriend department, you'd skip him like he was a rope."
"Freddie, Jeremy is a good guy," Belle replied resting her head on his chest, wiping frosting onto his jumper in the process. "Wait? When did I agree to marry you?"
"Don't act like you get a choice Belle," George snickered, followed by an "ow!"
"Honestly woman, we're going to have to confiscate your shoes before you actually break the git's nose!" Exclaimed Lee watching the blood pour from George's nose.
"Hem, hem. Detention again, Miss Florence and Mr Weasley... the one not bleeding, you can join her. One metre apart!" She flicked her wand and Belle flew out of Fred's arms and skidded along the floor a few metres away. "Another thing Miss Florence, you have earned yourself a third detention with me for attacking Mr Weasley with your shoe."
Belle sighed and slumped onto the floor in a huff. Professor Umbridge tottled away looking rather proud of herself as Fred turned back to Belle, "three detentions in one day? And only one because of me. You can tell your dad that I am not the bad influence anymore! Ha! Take that Lupin!"
