Nothing about the tournament had really sunk in until the students left Hogwarts at the end of the year. It was history repeating, another student dead because of the Tri-wizard Tournament, at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
However, it did bring students closer together. George had become very protective over his twin's girlfriend, it seemed that after his and her heart-to-heart that he realised that the only reason Fred was scheduling his time around Belle was because the girl lacked confidence way more than anyone realises. Yes, he knew that she was not as confident as most people but under her bright smile and caring nature, that girl is petrified of what people think of her.
It also seemed that Cedric's death had affected her a lot more than both Fred and George realised. They are not aware of how much those Herbology lessons helped her. Cedric was a kind boy, he always liked to make people smile and that's what he did to Belle. During the lessons he would guide her and help her with her work, praise her when she got things right and nicely correct her when she was wrong. Cedric helped her build her confidence even more by aiding Cho, his girlfriend, to befriend Belle, which led to a few other Ravenclaws giving her a chance as well; especially Roger Davies. Roger would chill with Belle and Cho in the common room and he also helped Belle with History of Magic which was one of his best subjects.
It seemed that Cedric had brought Belle happiness and they had a beautiful friendship all because of one class that they sat beside each other in. He confided in Belle and she did him. He knew about her seeing Enoch a lot even when she was sure that the boy wasn't really there and even up until the night before the third task he was trying to help her figure it all out as a way of distracting himself from the nerves he felt about the final task, despite Belle telling him that he should concentrate on himself that evening and not on her.
Cho also helped. Belle and Cho had formed a good friendship too. Cho admitted that she followed the crowd when it came to ignoring Belle and not giving her a chance, and even her friend Marietta had conversed with Belle on a few occasions.
But now it was the summer.
Cedric was dead and everyone that she had formed a new friendship with was mourning. Belle, along with the Weasleys, her father, Sirius, some aurors and Hermione were residing at 12 Grimmauld Place for the summer and later on, Bill and Harley, along with Charlie and Harry would join them. 12 Grimmauld Place was Sirius Black's family home and he had granted Dumbledore its use for the headquarters of The Order Of The Phoenix.
Molly Weasley along with Remus was keeping a sharp eye on Belle and Fred and how 'close' they were each day, especially when it came to them going to bed. To the point, Molly had made Fred and George share a room on a totally different floor and part of the house than where Belle had a room.
One day, about four days into the holidays Belle woke up in the middle of the night with a start. Her breathing was jagged and beads of sweat clogged on her eyebrows. "Enoch!" She breathed out in fright. There he was standing at the end of her bed a melancholy face and his fists clenched.
"You said you'd visit in the holidays!" Spat Enoch, his voice thickening. "You didn't even send a letter!"
"E, I'm sorry! I-"
"Save it! You don't even know, do you!? You never would! We're gone! Because of you! 1We wasted time coming to Hogwarts because Emma begged Miss Peregrine to let us take our O.W.Ls instead of doing what we would normally do and just stay at the home! No! She wanted you, I wanted you! And because of that, we died! On our way back we died! AND IT'S YOUR FAULT!" He roared, and blood started to trickle down his head, dripping onto his cardigan. "We're dead because of you!"
Belle shook her head, tears falling down her cheeks. "I'm sorry, I really am. Enoch, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry, E." The girl repeated herself over and over again but Enoch wasn't having any of it.
"I'M SORRY!" She screamed and clutched her head, as she began to shake, "I'M SORRY! I'M SO SORRY! I'M SORRY!"
Her shouts echoed throughout the house and woke up everyone. Sirius burst into the room first to find his best friends daughter, screaming that she was sorry, shaking and crying facing the wall where nothing was. Remus entered second, pushing passed Sirius. He engulfed his daughter in his arms, pressing her head into his chest and tried to soothe her.
It didn't work.
She hit his chest trying to push her father off. Her eyes darted to where Enoch was stood but this time Sirius stood there looking concerned as the Weasleys, Hermione and an auror named Nymphadora Tonks joined the room.
Fred stood frozen as Remus clutched his daughter who gave into him and hugged him tightly.
"What's going on?" Ron grumbled, tugging at his messy hair.
Ginny shrugged at her brother, turning back to Belle.
"Sweetheart, what's wrong?" Remus asked Belle quietly.
Belle shook her head and remained silent. Remus didn't want to do this but looked to Fred who slowly edged towards Belle. He kneeled down by her bed and took hold of one of her hands. She instantly let go of Remus and wrapped herself in Fred's arms.
"Was it a bad dream?" Asked Fred, his fingers running through her long blue hair.
Shaking her head and buried her head in the crook of his neck. "I saw him."She muttered, shakily.
"Saw who?"
"Enoch."
Fred stiffened at the mention of the Scottish boy, he still didn't like him. "You saw him?"
Belle nodded, "He's dead. They all are. It's all my fault."
Fred furrowed his eyebrows, "How do you know?"
"He told me when he was here."
"Where was he?" Asked Fred and she raised her head. She pointed to where Sirius stood before putting her head back.
Fred shook his head and pressed a kiss to her forehead, "He isn't here. He couldn't have been, Bella, and if he and the rest of them are dead, it wasn't your fault."
"It was. He told me."
Knowing that there was no way at that moment that he could convince her otherwise Fred inhaled a deep breath. "Okay, Bella." He replied, "Why don't we get you cleared up and back to sleep? Then we can sort out finding out if what he told you is true."
Belle nodded and he lifted her up, Remus aiding him by unhooking her legs from the duvet and following Fred out of the room and towards the bathroom because he was still the same protective father even if Belle was upset. He watched from the doorway as Fred set her on the sink and wiped her face with a damp flannel, wiping away the tear stains and calming the red on her cheeks. He wiped her running nose with some tissue before drying her face with a towel.
"I told you he wasn't all bad." Said George to his sister, "He does care about her a lot."
Ginny smiled as she watched her brother carry his girlfriend back to bed and lay her down, tucking her in and kiss er head like he used to do to her when she couldn't sleep. "I know." Said Ginny, leaning into George who put an arm around her shoulders.
Fred quietly ushered everyone out of the room and went to shut the door when Remus stopped him. "Stay with her. I doubt she'll sleep otherwise," he said to him and Fred glanced at his mother who nodded.
Fred smiled smally at Remus and turned around enetering the room again and shutting the door behind him. He blindly made his way to Belle's bed and pulled up the cover, sliding underneath and covering himself over. his arm wrapped around Belle's waist and she rolled over snuggling into him.
"I'll try not to hog the covers." He told her.
"Okay."
Fred kissed Belle's forehead and rubbed circles onto her back, her breathing deepened until tiny purs tumbled from her lips.
"Nothing was your fault, Bella, nothing at all."
