Opening Night

A/N: just a little heads up there is a little cussing in the chapter.

Katie's POV
   Today was opening night of 21 Chump Street.  Everyone was really excited. I nervously ran through my lines one last time (sorry not sorry) when I heard a knock on my door. It was Anthony. "Hey, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be getting ready?" I ask. He smiles, "yeah, but I wanted to give you this." He leans over and lightly kisses my cheek. "Good luck out there." I stood there shocked. Anthony just... kissed me? Did he... like me? I quickly grab my phone and text him:

New York Bound: hey, see me after the show.
Ant-man: okay anything wrong?
New York Bound: no just need to talk...

Anthony's POV
   Shit. I screwed up! I shouldn't have kissed her. I hope I didn't ruin my chances. You know what... tonight after the show, I'm gonna tell her.

*time skip* after the show

Katie's POV
   I'm so happy the show went well! Now I just have to confront Anthony. I stood by the theater door to wait. After about 5 minutes he came over. "Hey Katie!" he says smiling."Hey Anthony." I reply. "Can I tell you something?" we say in unison. I blush "you first." Anthony starts, "okay well what I wanted to say was, I like you Katie. Like, REALLY like you. And I wanted to know if tomorrow, you would maybe wanna go catch a movie or something? You know, like a date!" I stood there shocked, but I smiled. "I would love too!!" I hugged him around his neck and he wrapped his arms around my waist. Anthony smiled, "can I walk you back to your apartment?" "It's only a couple of blocks," I say. "I know, I just wanna walk with you." I smiled, "sure, let's go." We head out the door and walk to my apartment. We head inside the lobby and ride up the elevator to my floor. When we reach my apartment I turn to him and smile, "thanks for walking me back! I guess I'll see you tomorrow evening!" Anthony blushes, "I'll pick you up at 8." I kiss him on the lips and walk into my apartment. As I lock the door, I hear Anthony down the hall yelling, "YES!!" I smile and text him:

New York Bound: I heard that...
Ant-man: oh oops

I smile and get ready for bed.
