Chapter 13

           

I couldn't help but stare. The house was beautiful. Luxuriously furnished , simple, cozy and very relaxing. However all of this cannot be compared to the lovely smell that filled the air it smelled like freesia and fresh baked cake. Zander stood eyeing me as if he's waiting for my opinion, "lovely" I said.

He just cleared his throat and ushered me towards a couch. I sat down, and then a thought hit me and I had to say it out loud so I did "Do you live alone?"

"No" he said curtly, I was itching to know who else lives here but I didn't get the chance to speak as the door opened and a beautiful woman strode here. Zander sighed a sigh of relief, I didn't even realize he was stressed. She looked at me and Zander and said "Thank god"

She then looked at me and her face twisted in an expression of shock mixed with surprise and longing. "I am Arya" I said in greeting because I couldn't think of anything else. She shook her head and smiled "of course" she extended a hand for me to shake and I did as she said "I'm Mare" Zander looked at her then at me and said "Meet my mother" he said, then laughed at my shocked expression the woman looked so young to be a mother.

"Pleasure meeting you miss" I said

"Just Mare" she said smiling " I'll leave you to talk" and she just left. So I turned to Zander, "Now" I said taking a seat "Why am I here, how did you find me, why do we have the same mark?" before he can reply I added "please be quick I need to go home"

He rolled his eyes at me then spoke "This is the safest place you can be at, my mother found you and I tracked you, the mark is a long story and you can't leave tonight." He smirked at me and how I longed to slap this face and wipe the smirk off of it, No one tells me what to do and what to not do.

Before I can either speak or slap his face he said "Sit down, I'll tell you everything when Mother comes down."

"I am leaving, I'll come back by tomorrow to talk" I said walking towards the door, I really wished to know what he has to say but I can't be late more than this it's about to be midnight and I have to reach either Rina or home. I reached the door and tried to turn the knob but nothing I kept pushing the door "open the door" I ordered Zander

"Sorry, I can't" he shrugged he was now standing in the kitchen

"I said open the bloody door." I strode towards him about to order him some more but I didn't get the chance for I heard what I most certainly wish to here.

"Both of you are born with the mark, that makes you powerful but now you are only vulnerable" Mare said then pointed to the couch "Sit Arya, you sure have many questions" it was more of an order than an offer but I obeyed anyway.

"There is a place on a planet called bojinia a planet so much like earth . Bojinia consist of kingdoms many of them but the most recognizable kingdom in Bojinia was Manarek; which was ruled by four rulers, for families , Takeshi, Lowell, Valdus and Jassyrin, the kingdom was ruled by those monarchs until one day king of the north went mad, he lost his wife and his elder son. his heir and he became an unstoppable monster, so he killed the other three rulers took their thrones and named himself king of Manarek it was easy for him because he hails from a strong house and he's gifted with row magic he could destroy the entire land with one look so the people feared him and bowed down, not to mention a great army on his beck and call. He hated his people and killed them, he destroyed the land of wealth and prosperity turned it into a dead land and became the worst tyrant they have ever seen. Four years after that came the prophecy of people bearing the mark of Sulan who are the hope of Manarek from the hands of the tyrant".

I stopped chewing on the beautiful cookie and muttered "Is this mark eh....do we bear the...same mark" I managed to get out the words.

That only earned me a solemn nod From Mare who then eyed Zander with a look full of pride mixed with sorrow.
