Zander's POVI don't remember how many days,I've been here. You can't really count the days and nights when your always in darkness.
Pain surged through my entire body when i shifted my position on the dark cell's floor, i could feel my blood dripping, drop by drop that made its way sliding down my lower back, if they didn't kill me i will certainly die from blood loss.
No body comes in, even when it's food time they push it by a long metal stick, it's exactly like feeding a rabid dog, but that's not the problem. The problem is that I can't use my powers, I don't feel Arya's mind anymore and my body is fading slowly.
I'd give me another twenty four hours until my soul leaves my body . On the bright side, Maybe when the guards change shifts someone will bring me water at least for my Throat is like the Sahara desert and My body is going through heat due to the infected wound.
I heard the guard leaving. So, perfect time to escape.. if I could stand up.
I snapped back to reality as i heard
Lighter footsteps flowing through the hall approaching my cell,
The door didn't open, but somehow someone went through the door.literally!
I didn't flinch nor did fear surge through me. The figure approached me, a small beam of light in my visitor's hand illuminating my darkness. I saw pale face with vibrant green eyes, I've never seen it's like before; eyes so beautiful yet so sharp and wicked.
It was the figure of a woman, a hooded one who lifted her finger to her lips hushing me.
"I mean you no harm" she whispered as she came very close to me that she practically whispered in my ears.
"My name is Eva, I know who you are
but you know me not" she raised her hands to my lips urging me to drink a green liquid.
"Poison?" I spat eyeing her.
"Again, I mean you no harm. This will help you heal slowly. However, you must pretend to remain sick"
She didn't look like she's lying, her hands were steady , her lips never shook and her eyes never left mine."Every thing comes at a price" i looked at her as i asked " what's yours?"
She smiled mischievously "it's on the house"
"You have to listen, Drink this and I will explain."
She pushed the green liquid through my lips. It tasted like strawberry milkshake however green it was."We are in the royal palace's dungeon, Your friends will get you out of here but you shall not harm the king on your escape. He's not in his right mind, he's been given potions that hurt him mentally to the extent that every decision he makes is not really his. The one whose behind this seeks the throne, If you hurt the king they'll get the throne, and you my boy and the girl with the fire in her eyes might be the only people standing in between all this."
The pain ebbed in my body and i felt better.
"How do you know that we will stand against him? Maybe we don't care about this place and will leave it to fall in his hands and why would I trust you my lady?" I raised an eyebrow in question.
Rolling her eyes"My husband is the one whose been making the potions and giving it to the king. I didn't know until later, and I can't stop him, he's too strong and even if i could. someone else will complete the work. That also makes me doubt the prophecy as he was one of the people who first explained it, you'll see my husband if you survive long enough he'll be the one to torture you.
Unlike me; he means you grave harm. Keep yourself out of trouble if you can. You're not only the marked but your much more, you're blood is precious but you shall not rule, not now anyway"It looks like secrets aren't necessarily secrets anymore.
"If the king is already mentally gone, what difference does it make if he survives or not?" I asked eyeing her,
"If you kill him, You'll be playing right into her game. And you'll lose everything. Besides, I think I could help the king but i need time."
Time! Wishful thinking
"Her?"
"I can't explain now but once I am sure that you will help us I will tell you everything ""I can't promise you anything. Especially when I can't help myself first. However, I thank you for helping me my lady. I'm in your debt"
Lady Eva smiled slightly as she stood up, bowed whispering "until then your highness"
Then she walked through the door the way she just came in.Arya's POV
I expected another meeting but I never thought it would be like that.
Tatia called for a meeting this morning,
Of course I came late, not because I was busy or something but I thought it would anger her and oh it absolutely did!
On entering the meeting room i saw kayden and tatia glaring at each other. I could swear Kayden was this close to pulling the sword hanging on his hips, you could see his fingers twitching a mile away.
"Trouble in paradise dear cousin?" I asked as I pulled a chair, sat down and stretched my legs on the large oak table.
Judging from Tatia's glare that was directed at me, this won't be good.
"What do you want Tatia?"
"At leas be descent enough and call me mother"
"Nah, mine died a while ago."
Zuri entered followed by people I don't know and looking truly disheveled.
"First things first, I want you to keep an eye out on the prince, he can't leave" Tatia said in a very professional way.
"Did you save him so you could imprison him instead Tatia"
She ignored me completely and continued " He's a leverage we cannot lose, zuri I want you to befriend him"
"You can't do that Tatia he's a prince" I insisted even though I don't admire his highness but she can't do that to any human being prince or not.
"Do not interfere Arya" she lashed out
"Or what? Will you imprison me too?"
" If that's what it will take to shut you up then I will"
I rolled my eyes and as calmly as I can I said " if you want to keep an eye on the prince fine, if you want to send zuri to manipulate him fine but he won't fall for it, what's not fine is locking him in here he has people to take care of"
"I will do as I wish ""You will do as I wish Tatia! Or else you lose me"
I think I have never seen kayden this still.

I just realized things are going in a slow pace but I intend to accelerate it, if I could 😂
