The run

Chapter 20

We reach the warehouse and we all enter the lounge room. We're all sitting down tired and sore from the past events. Ethan gets up and enters the kitchen and comes back with water and sits back down.

"We will be leaving the warehouse because its not safe. We will be staying in a beach house in New Jersey at ocean city so pack your bags. We'll be leaving this evening." Ethan suddenly says. Everyone gets up to go and pack except Kylie.

"What about school? What about my family?" She asks Ethan close to tears.

"Don't worry about school. It's sorted out but you don't have to cut contact with your family. If you want your family to be in danger then stay because other gangs no about this. One person escaped so we have to leave. It won't be safe plus we're changing our identity and names." Ethan replies and also leaves to pack.

Kylie turns to look at me and I hug her while she sobs.

"Kyle, don't worry. Just tell them you have something figured out and when things are ok you'll talk, alright?" I say while I walk upstairs with Kylie towards our room. We quickly pack all our stuff and start changing our appearance. I dye my hair purple and Kylie dyes her hair red.

I put a fake tattoo on my arm.

We put on some make up and change into some clothes.

We go downstairs to the kitchen to get some snacks. I eat some Doritos while Kylie calls her mom and tells her what I told her to say. Her parents were hesitant but agreed. The rest of the guys come downstairs and I must say they look really different. Bethanys hair is grey whiles Lolas is blue. My brother's hair is black, Connors is still white but the front is red.
Graysons hair is like Connors but brown and green and James is black and purple. Joshs hair goes from a dark brown to yellow and Ethans is black and blue.

We join the guys in the lounge room again.

"Okay, so Mackenzie your new name is Aria Sanchez and your brother is Chris Sanchez. Kylie you are Emily Wells and Josh is Mike launch. Bethany your name is Peyton Jones and I am Reese Jones. Lola you are Riley Ray and Grayson and James are Ray and Ryan Rodrigo." Ethan says.

"Really. Launch" Josh says in a confused tone but Ethan just shrugs. We have to start loading  our luggage in the car but when I enter the garage I see different cars and not any cars but my favourite type. Dodge challengers  SRT hellcats.

I ran up to the grey one and claim it as mine.

"Slow down. Three people in one car." Ethan says

"Well the grey one is for Kylie, Aaron and I." I say looking at the car in love.

"Sure why not. Bethany,you and Lola are with me." Ethan says pointing in the direction of the blue car. James, Josh and Grayson take the green one. We put  our luggage in our various cars and head for the airport. Through all this I learnt to be strong and look forward to my future. Even though I couldn't stop my mum from staying at the house since it wasn't safe, it lead up to me meeting these wonderful people. This has been one hell of a run but it has brought us closer. I think I'll call it The run.
