Daniel and William have been gone for several days and I've been sleeping in Amanda's room to keep Craig away from her. The way he looks at her creeps me out and makes her cuddle closer to me. I don't mine. She's adorable and I protect her like I would my own daughter.

As I watch her eat her breakfast of toast and eggs, I wonder how many times. How many times she's been touched and abused. She seems to be the only normal one around here though she has her strange moments.

"Done?" I asked her as she held her plate out to me.

"Yes, can you braid my hair please. My mommy use to do it."

"Sure sweetheart." I picked her up and carried her to the living room. I sat her on my lap and began braiding her curly brown hair.

"I miss my mommy."

I couldn't talk. I could barely stop myself from crying.

"Where is she?"

"I don't know."

"Oh, I bet Daniel knows. He's always with daddy."

"Is he? Do you miss him when he's away?"

"Not really, he's mean to me."

"He hits you?"

"Yeah, sometimes." She shrugged. This poor little girl. I finished her hair, just as Daniel and William walked through the door.

"I caught a big one!" Daniel yelled.

"You sure did son."

Daniel ran upstairs with a smile on his face.

"Daddy can I show her my catch?" Daniel pointed at me.

"I'm sure she'll love it." William's smile made me think I wouldn't enjoy it as much as he said and I reluctantly followed the body.

We went down into the bloody basement and I had to hold my nose.

Daniel walked over, pulled back a blanket, and there say Camden's disfigured face miles away from his body.
