I jumped awake at the sound of someone slamming the door. I propped myself up on my elbows and saw Zander standing there, hunched over.

"What are you staring at?" He growled and I jumped.

"Zander?"

"Do I look like Zander dammit? My name is Abel."

"Can I have some more water?" I questioned and he looked over at me. I flinched as he dropped whatever he was carrying and open the ice box. He pulled out a bottle of water and kicked a chair so it was faced towards me. He sat down and took a long drink of the water.

"You want water?"

I nodded and he took another sip of the drink. It looked so cool with water droplets running down the side. I just wanted one sip.

"What do I get if I give you water?"

"The satisfaction of knowing you helped someone."

He laughed and then turned his head to the side.

"Give her some water Abel."

"Shut-up Zander, she has to work for what she wants."

"She doesn't know how to, she's new."

I watched as Zander and Abel argued with each other. I cringed at the thought of being stuck like that in your own mind. The water fell to the ground and what I assumed to be Abel gritted his teeth against each other. He stood up, picked up the chair, and threw it against the wall.

"Look what you've done!" He yelled, I crawled into the corner as he placed slaps against his own skin and begged himself to stop. He kept flashing between Zander and Abel before falling to the ground.

He stood up and turned around to get something out of a cabinet. He brought out some water and a small cup.

"I'm sorry about Abel." Zander said as he handed me the glass. I took a sip slowly and he sat down next to me. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine, is Abel coming back?"

"No, he has to go hunt."

I watched as Zander placed on his coat and boats and turned to me.

"I'll be back." He growled switching quickly from sweet Zander to evil Abel. Once the door was closed, I ran to it only to find that it was locked. I fell on my knees and cried. There wasn't a day that I'd been on the stupid island and hadn't cried.

I wanted to go back to the way life was. I knew it would never be the same, but all I could do was hope. Hope that somewhere there was hope for me. Hope that I would go home and be with my family again.
