Crap. If there's any truth to what those Wallists are always shouting about, please, please, do not get me transferred.

You and a group of other Military Police members, including your own squad members, were stationed outside the resting quarters for the night, shivering in the chilly night air and awaiting further orders. Although you were one of the highest-ranking people in the entirety of the Military Police, you weren't the highest-ranking. Which explained why you'd gotten ordered to wait outside for the discussion between Military Police and Survey Corps to end.

During their last expedition, the Survey Corps had lost about forty-five of their members, and, on top of their other recent previous losses, they'd begun to search for new recruits everywhere - Military Police excluded. You enjoyed your life within the inner walls, but you couldn't deny that every now and then you wanted some excitement.

But joining the Survey Corps was substantially more 'excitement' than you could handle.

You nearly yelled aloud as Commander Nile Dok gave you your new instructions, emerging from the building. "Captain [l/n], you and your team have officially been reassigned to the Survey Corps under introduction from Captain Levi."

One of your squad members let out a cry of protest, and another burst into tears. They hadn't been prepared for this. To be fair, neither had you, but you managed to keep your composure as a short man strode out behind your (former) commander. "Tch. So these brats are really all I'm getting."

"Excuse me?" You gritted your teeth in a forced smile. "You and I are of the same ranking, Levi. We are not possessions to be 'gotten.'"

"Shut up. Tell your subordinates to follow me, since I apparently can't tell them myself." With a swish of his Survey Corps cape, he was gone, heading over to his horse after Commander Erwin.

"Captain [l/n]," a male teammate of yours tugged on your shirt, eyes glassy, like a dead fish, "we - he isn't really going to be our new Captain...is he?"

You clenched your fists. "As of now, he is. But if he continues with that attitude, he'll be dead by tomorrow afternoon, and it won't have been because of the titans."

With your terrified squad members in tow, you followed this so-called 'Captain' off into the night.
