I died the night of the crash, before Kayden turned me. Kayden doesn't like the story. He says it reminds him of the panic he felt that night. But I like the story! It's the story of my last night of being human, little did I know then.

Kayden said before he could get me to dad, I died. He said he was scared because he wasn't sure if the bite would still work on me since I was already dead.

Kirk, who is 12, always asks me what I did on the other side when I died. When he was younger, I would make up stories about unicorns and angels, just to amuse him. I don't know if I ever told him the truth or not, which is that I don't remember anything. I barely remember that night in total.

It was like I fell asleep and woke up feeling better than ever. However, I like the unicorn story better. I don't think I am ever going to tell Kirk the truth.

"Here, brat." Kayden hands me a plate with my nicely made sandwich on it.

I look at it funny. "What is on this?" I ask.

"Turkey, ham, bacon, mustard, mayo, salt, pepper, ketchup, cheddar and pepper jack cheese." He smiles.

"That is the worst sandwich combination ever!" I complain. "Bleh!" I toss the plate on the ground.

"You didn't tell me what kind of sandwich you wanted so I just put whatever I saw first on it..." He laughs and lies down on the bed.

"Do you want children?" I ask.

He looks at me funny. "With you? No thanks."

"Not with me, ass hat. Just in general."

         "Yeah."

         "What would you name them?"

"I would want two girls; Vera and Emerson."

"What if you have two boys?"

         "I want two girls."

"Yeah, but you can't pick and choose what your baby mama's body is going to produce."

"If I have two boys their names would be Vera and Emerson."

I laugh, "That's just cruel." I say. "I am definitely not having a biological kid. I might adopt. But then again, I have a low tolerance for children."

"If you did have children though, what would you name them?" Kayden asks.

"I think it would be pretty cool to keep the whole plant name going." I sit in silence for a moment, thinking. "So probably Daisy or Ivy."

         "What if it's a boy?"

"Ivy can be a boy name."

         "That's lame."

"How is that lame? My kid's names would go along with mine?"

         "Lame!"

"Vera and Emerson aren't that great either, so." I roll my eyes.

"What made you think to ask me that?"

"I don't know?" I say. " I was just thinking about it and I had never asked if you ever wanted to kids or not."

"My kids would be adorable. Your kids, probably ugly."

"You're a jerk. You just called your nieces and nephews ugly!"

"Oh, my bad. I forgot they had ears and could hear." He rolls his eyes.

I look over at my alarm clock and sigh. "It's only 8pm."

          "So?"

"I'm tired and I want to go to sleep."

Kayden looks at me funny. "Then go to sleep?"

         "At 8pm? Ha, no."

         "But, you're tired?"

"Yeah, tired. Not a grandma." I roll my eyes.

Kayden laughs, "You're special." Then lies back on the bed. "My turn to ask you a random question." Kayden says.

         "Shoot."

"Would you ever consider dating one of us?" He asks.

I turn and look at him. "Us as in werewolf, or us as in you and my other brothers?"

Kayden's face turns wooden like, stiff and emotionless. "Forget it." He stands up.

"Wait!" I grab his arm to stop him. "What just happened?" I ask, confused.

He looks at my hand as if he was about to bite it off. "It was a stupid question." He snatches his arm away.

"My question was a stupid question?" I say, standing up. "I thought that's what we were doing?" I scratch my head and look to the side feeling awkward. "I thought we were joking around and asking stupid questions?"

Kayden stares at me with disgust. "I'm going to go read a book, or something." He exits the room.

That's the thing about Kayden.

I don't know if I have ever mentioned the fact that he acts like he likes me. But then again, he is my brother. We may not be blood related, but he would never think about me like that. Ever. I don't think?

No, I know. He wouldn't. It's wrong! It's like incest.

I guess he just has bipolar disorder.

He does this kind of stuff all the time. Like something I said offended him; even if that thing was just asking for the remote or something.

"8:34..." I sigh. Screw it, I'm going to bed.
