"AH CRAP!" A girl shouts, tumbling over her own feet and onto the ground.

"Well, she's awake." An unenthusiastic, though very familiar, voice says.

"She scared the crap out of me!" The girl laughs while still sitting on the floor. "I didn't expect her to just open her eyes like that."

I sit up to get a better view of the place.

A room.

Seems normal.

Probably not normal, though.

I am laying on a bed that is draped with a poop green comforter.

The girl who fell over air, who was still lying on the floor laughing, is on a tan carpet.

This place - It's too clean?

To my right, an old wooden night stand in the corner, with a girl standing next to it.

It must be a standing corner... HA!

Anyway...

"Well, good morning to you too." The standing girl rolls her red eyes.

RED EYES?!

I back away from the girl as quickly as possible, and in the process of doing so, I begin tumbling onto the floor (like the girl. who is still hysterically laughing, did earlier).

"Oh my gosh." The red eyed girl reaches her hand out. "Take my hand." She offers, but I just stare at her. "For goodness sake, idiot, do you want my help or not?"

The girl who was on the ground runs up and says, "Just take her hand. If you don't piss her off she won't bite you!" The small, red eyed girl places her finger on her lip and scrunches up her face. "But, like, I think you have pissed her off?" she looks up to the ceiling, her face still scrunched, then says, "I don't really know what you should do in this situation?" she laughs and throws her hands up.

"She should take my damn hand before I break her neck." The girl sarcastically smiles at me.

I do. I take her hand and she helps me up.

"What are you anyway?" I ask, trying to sound threatening. Although, I am pretty sure it sounded more like a tiny baby mouse instead.

"Are you kidding?" The red eyed girl asks. "You're a werewolf and you don't know what I am?" She turns to the other girl, (who looks just like her, but smaller) and laughs.

"The only thing I can think of is vampire, but they don't exist."

The two girls look at me, then at each other, then begin laughing more hysterically than before.

"Stop." A tall boy walks into the room. "You two were supposed to get me whenever she awoke." He walks towards me and reaches out his hand. "Dugger." I shake it.

"I'm Zinn." I examine the room once more before asking, "Where am I, exactly?"

"This is my home." Dugger says prideful. "We're family here."

I look at the two girls with their pale skin and red eyes, then at him with his dark skin and black eyes. "I don't mean to offend you by saying this, but are they adopted?"

Dugger laughs, "Not legally, but yes." He continues, "I welcome any kind of runaway and or confused supernatural creature to live with me. I protect them; help them with anything they need."
