"Hey, Indigo," Jaley calls as she enters the library. "I finished Eclipse can I-" She stops mid sentence when she spots Lucky and I sitting on the floor with a pile of books between us. "Oh. Sorry."
We both laugh. "It's all good." Lucky assures her.
She leans in closer to him and her face scrunches up. "Bro, what happened to your eye?"
He shakes his head and laughs even harder. "I honestly don't know. I got stuff in it and it got infected."
She nods. "It's cool. You look like a pirate."
"Do you need something, Jay?"
"Oh, I need Breaking Dawn." She says.
I point behind me. "It's over there in the T's."
She begins looking through the books. "So, what are you guys reading?"
"It's a book my mom wrote." I tell her. "It's about how the supernatural world collided with the real world."
"Oh really? How did that happen?"
"Apparently, there was a witch named Birdie that had visions of another world. People said she was crazy and ignored her and she got so angry that she cast a spell that created the portal. With that, she was able to enter and leave the real world. When people found out about it, everyone started leaving because they were curious. She was named the most powerful witch around."
"Is she still alive?" She asks.
I shake my head. "No. This was back in the 1800's in the real world. Witches were burned back then and she didn't hide her powers there and they burned her."
"Dang. That's brutal." Jaley shivers at the thought of it. "How did your mom know about this?"
"Nalsa said she was nosey like me. She most of done a lot of research."
"That's cool." Jaley says. "So, is there a spell to undo her spell?"
"There is actually. However, it gets rid of any Supernatural creature who isn't originally here and locks them out forever. Also, locks everyone in. The only person that could cast it would be, well, myself and two of the most powerful witches."
"Why yourself?"
"Because I am Queen and they can't drastically change the world without my permission."
Jaley uncomfortably fake laughs. "Well, don't do that because then i'll be kicked out. Vampires are originally from hell, not here."
I laugh. "I don't plan on it, Jaley."
"Hey, guys." Nalsa greets us as she walks into the library. "I was looking for you, Zinn."
"Um, well I got my book. I'm going to go back to my room" Jaley says, then leaves.
Nalsa looks at me confused. "She was actually out of her room?"
I shrug. "She needed her next book."
"Wow. Well, I miss her." She sighs. "But, hey, Lucky! How are you feeling?"
He smiles. "I feel really good right now." he looks at me and winks.
"You were looking for me?" I ask her.
She sits down next to me. "Ivan was right. Marah is a fairy."
"What? Are you serious?"
She nods. "Yeah. I don't know exactly how, but she is basically half human half fairy."
