I forgot my mom was a hairdresser. She used to work at the Lions Mane, but now Walmart?

She broke down in tears and covered her mouth. She was astonished; speechless. So was I. She wasn't supposed to know I was alive. For all she and the rest of my family know, I died in the car wreck along with Macy and Andrew.

"How are y- "before she could finish her sentence, she was interrupted by screaming.

People begin pushing past me as I stood in the entrance of the hair salon. Everyone was terrified, screaming and crying. I couldn't figure out what was happening, until I smelt blood – someone was attacking the store.

"Mom, get inside!' I tell her. "Shut the shop down."

"Wait. I – I" She stutters.

"There's no time for chitchat!" I hear a gunshot. More people began screaming. "Get inside and close the doors!"

Three tall men and a women enter the store. Each of them carried a rifle at their side.

"What about you, Zinnia?" Mom asks.

"Please, mom, listen to me!"

She nods and backs up into her store locking the doors. I hide behind a sign that is advertisement for some water filter.

The four of them chat for a moment before breaking off into groups of two. The women and a red headed man walk my way, the other two head to the back of the store.

As they begin getting closer, I notice something about their faces. They have eyes just like Kayden did. They are solid black and glossy. I can't tell where they are looking, I just know they are getting closer.

They pass right by me and blow open the doors to the hair salon with their guns. However, I jumped on the man before they stepped foot inside.

I force my teeth through his neck, tearing his skin off as I pull back. From pain, he was unable to fight back. I grab his riffle and use him as a shield as I shoot the women. I then turn and kick the man backwards onto the ground. As they both bleed out, I watched as the black from their eyes faded. They went back to normal. They were innocence people again.

The man began crying, the women was already dead. I feel really, really bad about this. However, I know I should've done this. Whatever possesses them does not leave easily. I had to kill them in order to keep mom safe.

I shake my head. "I'm sorry." I say, then use my claws to stab through his chest to put him out of his misery. At this moment, I almost felt nothing. No sadness, no shock, I was just numb. Something like this would have a traumatized me a year ago. Now, it just seems normal.

"Mom?" I step inside the salon that is now covered in shards of glass.

On the ground beside one of the chairs laid the front desk worker, Alyssa. She has been impaled by the pieces of glass. They stuck out of her face, chest, stomach, arms, everywhere. My mom knelt beside her crying. It wasn't until now I realize how hungry I am. The smell of blood and racing hearts fill the air. Suddenly, I wasn't thinking about helping mom, I was thinking about eating her.

"We need to get her to a hospital." Mom says.

I snap out of my daze. "We can't." I tell her. She's already gone. I can hear her heart and its barely beating.

"WE HAVE TO!"

"Mom!" I grab her hand. "There are still more in here. For all I know, there are still more to come. Alyssa is going to die. I'm sorry. There's nothing you can do about it. All I care about right now is getting you out of here." I force her to her feet and walk out of the salon.

I check both ways before picking up the riffle that belonged to the women I killed. Screaming and gun shots are still filling the store. Although, I could care less about that. Mom just needs to get out of here.

"Zinnia." An unfamiliar, yet sort of deep, raspy voice calls behind me.

Alyssa stood with salon scissors gripped tight in her hand, her eyes solid black.

"Alyssa!" Mom cries.

"Haec est porta. Est hic." She mumbles, then chunks the scissors at me.

The scissors pierce my collarbone and, of course, my mom screams and runs. Which, I guess was best. She probably didn't want to see me shoot Alyssa, which I did. These freaking demon type black eyed weird things are really pissing me off.

"Mom!" I yell, pulling the scissors out of me and throwing them to the ground. I know this might sound weird, but I wish she would have thrown something sharper. Those scissor were dull as crap and they jabbed into my neck. I never, ever want to feel something like that again. That was horrible!

My mom is outside now, running across the parking lot, screaming her lungs out. People aren't going to believe her whenever she tells them about this. I'm more than sure she will be put in a mental hospital when she tells people her dead for 5 years daughter came back and demons attacked Walmart! Man.

"MOM!" But she doesn't look back, she just keeps running like a maniac. I begin to hear sirens come from every direction. I know that they can take care of it and that everyone will be safe. Those demonic, weird things aren't hard to kill when they possess a human body. One shot and they're down. So, I don't need to stay here. The police can handle this.

I run in the woods behind Walmart and transform into a wolf. I was heading for home to warn the others, but I also was in search for some food.
