CH.8 "only enough"

Jack left and it was only you and BEN. Alone. Like you wanted. "so, BEN, what really went down?" you glanced at him with a raised eyebrow. he shrugged and looked down. "we were playing a punching game, it got out of hand" he lied through his teeth, you could tell. But you didn't really care, if he wasn't going to tell the truth he isn't going out tonight. "BEN, we're not going out tonight." you laid down on the couch looking up at him. He looked down at you with his eyebrows furrowed. "why?" he asked, seemingly upset since he was so eager. You smiled, shrugging and sitting up. "I'm tired, its getting out of hand." BEN squinted, but nodded and left the room. Leaving you with your thoughts.

It had been a few hours, and in those few you had taken a nap. You got off the couch and drowsily looked around the room, you decided you'd wanna do something fun with someone. You could do something with BEN but you were punishing him for lying to you. So, you could hang out with Carlos tonight. You walked around the apartment looking for BEN but he was no where to be found, so maybe he was doing something different tonight on his own. You wouldn't know, you shrugged it off. You grabbed your phone and called Carlos. The dialing tone came through and soon enough you heard a familiar voice which had been your good friend. "Hey, y/n" he sounded frightened and you could hear him gasping for breath occasionally. You frowned. "Hey- what's up are you okay??" you asked him as you heard a loud bang and a small shriek. "yeah, I'm fine. just-" he paused and a loud crash came from your phone making you flinch slightly. You heard him laugh. "fuck." woah, he doesnt swear too much. you're eyebrows furrowed. "sorry, y/n- i- its not a good time. its really not." he hung up, but before he did you heard him groan in what sounded pained. you looked down, confused. what's up with that??

- Carlos POV

I groaned in pain, hanging up on y/n and dropping the phone. I dodged an attack. I made the mistake of going to the woods and sitting down by the pond to rest. A woman with dark auburn hair and pale skin, with completely white eyes that had a dark shade around them came out of the swamp and started trying to kill me with trees and vines. I guess she was a creepypasta of some sort, but right now I don't care I'm trying not to get fucked right now by a crazy tree lady. She had a thorny vine and she knocked me right in the side with it. I felt absolute pain but I gotta get past this, before I'm dead. I ran but she chased me and dragged me down with her vines. A tree almost fell on top of me but I got my scrawny ass out of there and I ran as fast as I could. And I do believe that I ran away from her because no more crazy shit was happening. I breathed out and walked to town. Y/n's town. Let's see whats going on with her these days. Or see why she called. Did BEN get his way yet? we'll see.
