As you woke there was a loud buzzing in the back of your head, as well as a painful throb on the side of your temple. It was hard to move your body but you somehow managed, lifting your head to see where you were.
You suddenly remembered that you were in Tim's car when someone ran in front of said car causing you to crash it and black out in the process. You felt your temple, wincing in pain as you touched a cut where you assume was where your head hit the steering wheel. You looked at your fingers noticing the blood that must have newly came out of your cut.
You took off your sweater and began to tear a piece of the sleeve from it but stopped upon hearing Tim's phone vibrate on the passenger seat. You blinked, setting the lump of fabric down on your lap and reaching over to see who had been calling. It was a number that hadn't been saved and had an area code near here, you debated upon picking it up before saying "fuck it" under your breath and answering with a simple "Hello?".
An ear-splitting screech came from the speakers and you groaned in pain, dropping the phone and covering your ears. But once you covered your ears it got even louder and sounded almost glitchy and pixelated. The pain in your head got worse and began throbbed harder than it had been. Suddenly the sound stopped and the called ended, and a ding emitted from the speakers with a vibrate following it notifying a text.
You waited a minute for the pain in your head to subside and eventually picked up the phone and turned it on, the bright light blinding your eyes before you got use to the brightness. You looked at the notification bar on his lockscreen seeing a text from the same number from before, reading the text it said, "I know where you are, Tim. You can't run from this."
Blinking, you shook your head at the text. Not understanding your calm demeanor in your current situation, you turned to look out the window and noticed it was dark out and decided you probably blacked out hours upon hours ago. Nobody came to find you or even make an effort to get you. You threw your torn sweater aside and turned to the backseat to grab Tim's jacket, and you grabbed his phone slipping it in the pocket and getting out of the car.
You glanced over to the front of the car, slamming the car door shut. Due to the moonlight you could only see a small amount of the damage, and decided you didn't feel like returning to Tim with a busted up car or no car whatsoever so you weren't going to return at all, and just go solo like before so fuck it.
Besides that.... he's about to get his ass murdered anyways and you don't have anything to do with it so you might as well, right?
Yeah, right...
Anyways, you weren't going to stick around here so you decided to walk in a direction you assumed was west and stick with it but you had no idea where it would lead you and you just went with it anyway hoping some stupid shit wouldn't stop you on the way. Which was obviously going to happen considering you actually have the best luck out of anyone you know. Hahahah..... not.
Karma was going to bite you in the ass at some point due to the fact you're basically stealing Tim's jacket and his phone, and leaving his car in the open crashed into a tree. He was going to be pissed, yeah, but he wasn't gonna come after you. I mean you pretty much fucked him over and took his money for a trip to a laundromat that went totally awry.
.... and yeah, you should go back but you won't because you really don't wanna seem like you fucked up. Especially with how vulnerable you are in this moment, but yeah whatever. Thug life.
Carlos POV
I was walking in a random direction, basically hugging myself and trying to get away from BEN as far as I could before he could catch up. But man that guy could really catch up with all those bruises and cuts he has. Even with my fast pace. Turning my head, I looked at him.
His replicated version of Link's hat was nowhere to be found, showing his blond hair which was dirty and matted with blood and was covering his eyes which were now pouring with blood and what looked to be a tar-like substance. His head was down, presumably looking at the ground in deep thought. Clothes now a dirty, torn mess soaked up in dry blood.
I questioned if I looked like him, in a fucked up or maybe worse attire. I glanced down. Less blood, but actually more torn up. BEN did get the worst of it, but if he didn't try to start shit with me we probably could've taken down Shrek's wife and be home right now. I thought about the past two hours... He's been really silent ever since I shouted at him like that. Is it bad that I don't even feel bad for doing it either?
I thought a little more, a question popping into my head. How'd we get away from that woman in the woods when we were blacked out? Because I don't remember running 2 miles away from the forest. I shook and stopped in my tracks turning to BEN who bumped into my shoulder. He looked up questioningly.
"Do you remember how we got out of the woods?" I asked disconcertingly, staring into his "eyes" or whatever they were. BEN thought briefly before shaking his head. "All I remember is being dragged against wood, grass, and all that other shit that comes with it." He answered, looking off into space with his eyebrows knit together. I turned away and whispered, "who?" repeatedly.
I quickly turned to BEN who was still staring at nothing before grabbing onto his shirt and pulling him along.... or rather dragging him along in the same random direction we had been walking before.
