(That's what Kylie looks like above)
Ryder's POV.
We both make our way out of the school together. Neither of us have a car, so we end up walking. Just as we start walking, someone runs up to me.
"Hey, Ryder," Summer says, grabbing my shoulder and turning me around to face her.
"What's up?" I ask, feeling a bit awkward. She hasn't talked to me since Wednesday...which was yesterday, but still.
"I saw police at your house yesterday. What's up with that? Is something going on?" I feel myself stiffen. How did she know? I open my mouth to answer, I was probably gonna come up with some lie. But wait...why should I tell her anything? She's been practically ignoring me.
"I don't know what you're talking about," I say, looking into her eyes. She gets this confused look on her face. I shrug, then turn and walk away. Kylie follows me.
"What was that about?" She asks, walking a bit faster to catch up with me.
"Nothing," I reply, not being able to keep the irritation out of my voice. Kylie stays silent, and I feel bad for getting mad. It's not her fault. I close my eyes and sigh, then turn to her.
"Sorry," I mumble to her, and she just smiles.
"No biggy," she shrugs.
Soon we arrive at the mall, and we both go shopping. I really needed to, so I'm happy. We both like the same stores, and I end up getting band posters, stuff for my bed, clothes, a new pair of shoes, and some other stuff for my room. She gets similar stuff.
"How about we give each other makeovers," she says, and I look at her like she is crazy.
"Not with makeup!" she laughs. "Here, just follow me."
She grabs my hand and pulls me to a store. She brings me to a counter, and whispers something into the ladies ear that works there. I look around, and notice different types of rings, ear rings, lip rings, and eyebrow rings.
"Follow me," the lady says, motioning for us to follow. We follow her into a back room, and tells me to sit.
"So what kind of piercing are we getting?" she says, smiling. My eyes widen and I look at Kylie. I start to get up, but she places a hand on my chest, pushing me back into the chair.
"Lip ring, for him," she says, a smirk playing on her lips.
"I didn't agree to this!" I say, again trying to get up.
"Shut up and sit down. I'm paying," she says laughing. I breathe out through my nose, then lean back in the chair.
***
When they finish giving me the lip ring, we walk out of the store. It's just a black ring on the side of my lip. I actually kind of like it.
"Your turn," I say.
"Okay," she says excitedly. I pull her into Hot Topic, and pick out a few beanies. I place a red one on her head, then grab a red and black band T-Shirt. Peirce the Veil. I pay for it, and she looks extremely cute.
