My eyes opened when I heard Aaron yelling for someone to help. We were home. Cailey ran out the front door, with a medical kit in her hand. I felt weak and lost. My leg was throbbing with pain. Zach and Aaron carefully but quickly pulled me out of the back seat. It hurt to move at all. They Both carried me into my house and set me on the couch, face down so they could see my wound. Elizabeth was assisted by Emilie and Cailey. Zach was standing over me with a medical kit.

"Drayton!! Did you get stabbed in the ass?" Zach asked opening the med kit.

"Its my upper thigh, Idiot!!" I yelled, trying not to move. Caily was cleaning Elizabeth's wound with some rubbing alcohol. The kind that burned. Elizabeth screamed when Cailey applied it.

"Drayton, we have to take off your pants to clean your wound" Aaron said pulling at my pants. He was right. But I resisted.

"No, not with the girls in here." I said. So the girls decided to clean Elizabeth's wound on the back porch. When they were gone I let Zach pull my pants down and let Aaron and Ben clean my wounded leg. It hurt like nothing i've ever felt before.

"A few inches down and you'd be a girl." Zach said trying to make it better. He didn't.

"Zach, I need you to go through these text books we got from the library." I said sitting up for the first time with my wound.

"Yay... Reading..." Zach said looking at the large, bulky textbooks.

"Hey Drayton, look." Aaron said reaching into his pocket.

"What?" I asked. He pulled out a long, thin, sharp piece of metal that was around 6 inches. It was what was in my leg. Half of the metal had dried blood on it. The thought three inches of scrap metal being in my leg, didn't make me feel too good.

"Why did you keep that?" Ben asked Aaron.

"I dunno.." Aaron said shrugging. I pulled my pants back on. Just then, The girls walked back inside from the porch. Elizabeth had her arm wrapped in a bandage. I was glad it was just her left arm. Elizabeth was right handed so, getting injured on her left arm was the best for her. I could walk for a short period of time but I had to limp. Zach went up stairs to start reading the books that we had gotten from the library.

"I hope everything will be okay." Cailey said sitting down on the couch. I limped over and sat next to her.

"It will, Cailey. You should've seen what happened. It was like we were in a book or something." I said.(wink)

"I'm glad I didn't." She said looking at Elizabeth, across the room. "I was wondering what made us different. Why the gas doesn't put us to sleep."

"I thought of that, too." I said." I thought of something else as well. There must an antidote, right?"

"Maybe. I don't know." she replied. Aaron cut in.

"What if we took one of their soldiers, hostage? Make em talk, ya know?" He said, popping his knuckles. It really wasn't a bad idea. Zach came down from his room.

"Cummingtonite is just an element. I don't know what It has to do with the gas or Operation Sandman." He said. I gathered everyone into the living room and told them of a plan I had come up with. The plan was to infiltrate one of their main bases and kidnap one of their scientists to interrogate. He would have some answers. Zach would give us a location and we would go as soon as me and Elizabeth were recovered. When we were all capable of doing so, We would, again, split up into two teams. One team would stay, the other would go. This time, Ben, Emilie, Zach, and I would go, and Cailey, Elizabeth, and Aaron would guard the house until we returned.
